Has anyone bought any of these yet? They are really cool! You may want to use some super glue on certain parts but other than that, fantastic little toys. They are very styalized but have great articulation(best I have ever seen in this size). I got the warthog and it is prety awesome.

MegaBloks - The ghetto Legos.
Seriously though, I got two sets, the blocks are terrible. Mini-figs are decent, the vehicles/blocks are awful, fall apart. You need to superglue them piece by piece, and they really only look so good. |

I've been wanting to buy these. They look pretty cool. I'm sad to hear that the block are cruddy. This may sway my decision a little.

Love them! Again, I really haven't had a problem with the blocks, and I've been buying Mega Bloks brand since they started making those delightful pirate ships. They're a little looser than legos, but really not by much: what I like about this is that, unlike lego, the blocks rarely get stuck together. And the figures are just perfect, especially the Elites.
You say Mega Bloks are ghetto-legos, I say Mega Bloks are the People's Lego :P By far more reasonably priced, and with vastly larger sets and more diversity in pieces. Lego has placed itself on an economic pedestal that many people simply cannot afford now, but Mega Bloks is there for the builder in all of us ^__^

I bought a couple sets and basically have the same comments as georox. The sets looks good assembled but just don't touch them once they are built they just don't stay together if you knock one pieces go flying.

Well with my warthog and covenant turret I just super glued the... warthog antenna, wench, and turret barrels. on the covenant gunner I super glued the plasma cannons down. Now they are perfect, love them both. I could care less about legos because the little people have no articulation, the articulation on the spartans is sweet! For you people on the fence, go grab the 10 dollar set and see what you think!

Does anyone know what set #7 is? I have 1-4 (planning on picking up 5 and 6 soon) and then I found set #8 at TRU over the weekend...
I haven't opened up any of my sets though or any mega bloks set so I cannot say if they fall apart or not (in an undesirable way). |
