So been thinking of starting to make custom Lego figures.
Any advice on a program for designing stickers for the mini figures? |

The problem to me wasn't so much of designing stickers, but actually printing them. I had to do it at least 3 or 4 times to get the right size and resolution so I could print them on a sticker sheet. You can use some fancy editor for design, but Paint might do just fine - even if you size down some nice texture, you'd still have to fix a few pixels here and there. Once you hit the mark with resolution and size, you can use the same sheet over and over, just changing the patterns.
Lego has a limited palette for torso pieces, so a good start should be matching those colors first, then you'd have a complete base set on which you could apply your own textures. Check this out: https://brickset.com/colours Make sure you waterproof your sticker with some proper enamel (varnish?) over it.
