I haven't been back to this forum for a little bit, and hadn't realized you've gotten around to doing instructions. Great job on the instructional pics, cappeca! I appreciate your diligence ;D
I will have to say though; that the 277 pieces in the Kreo Battleship Alien Strike set, alone, do not come that close to making your fantastic version of Night Raven. I started using your pics to try and have a go at it, but got quickly frustrated having trouble finding the prescribed parts. Because of this, I decided to just try to see what I could come up with for the time being; by using only the Battleship set pieces first. I took a few pics, because it won't be staying in this configuration for long. So here's what I came up with, only using those set pieces. One funny part of this model, is that the wings and engines are attached to the main airframe with ball joints, so they could rotate similar to the Rattler's! This model is very close size-wise to my old version of Night Raven. (-That original model now has a color scheme of the Sky Patrol Sky Raven; and is piloted by my custom BF2000 Maverick Kreon) Last edited by stealthy slim; 04-27-2018 at 12:33 PM.. |

You can tell by the kind of parts used and the way the rear underbelly is assembled that it was actually very, very improvised. I was reluctant to make instructions for this model because not only it's a bit complicated (my GF has yet to reassemble it) but also because it really has no secrets. A better copy can be made by taking out only the stud proportions and rebuilding it with better fitting parts. I use a lot of 2x8 and 2x10 that are not really critical. Those silver wings are unecessary, the big slopes in the underbelly are unecessary, it's just the stuff I had available at the moment.
So I went ahead a made use of all of my parts totes, instead of just trying to use kreo pieces. Here's what I've come up with now: Shown with my other versions, for size comparison Big difference from my little Sky Raven, huh? And shown next to my copy of geewunner's Cobra Rattler. Hope you guys like my copy. It took me the better part of a day to get it all figured out! lol |

It took a bit of work to have that gear stuff in there, as close to flush as I could get it. It's hard to tell, but I extended the engines forward 2 studs, with 2x3 bricks. I also am using just red cylinder pieces for the jet thrust nozzles. I added a bunch of flat tiles, to help give it a more finished off look When you remove the windscreen assembly, you can see there are TWO sets of helmets in there! It's a pretty tight squeeze, but they both fit The rear co-pilot has his fire control station, where he can attack multiple targets at once. This frees the pilot up to concentrate on flying. Of course the pilot has his own console, but I haven't yet added an HUD (or flight controls!) So here's where it is for now. Hope you guys like it, and sorry about hijacking your thread, cappeca |

Dude, this is absolutely amazing. Double seats and retracting landing gear already! Next thing you're gonna make the cockpit open down like the actual toy. Great work there, loved the cockpit controls!
