This is stunning, thank you! One of my long term projects is a massive HISS tank built to minifig scale - so imagine something a lot like these, but to represent a gigantic oversized HISS. This clearly shows that it can be done.

He shared the builder files on the Joe Reddit (search Lego), but it seems that thread was removed. It could have been when someone deleted their account though, not necessarily the builder removing them.

"G.I.Joe's newest armored combat vehicle is based on the chassis of the venerable Wolverine, with all the benefits of a tried and tested system and the associated interchangeable parts. The Mongoose is a single crew operated light armored tank destroyer/assault gun. It fills a niche in the Joe arsenal for a specialized tank killer optimized for defensive operations, and light enough to be slung under a Tomahawk helicopter.
The Mongoose is armed with the same 105mm cannon that the Mauler mounts in its turret. While it carries less ammunition for its gun than its larger cousin, and is limited to traversing its weapon by turning the entire vehicle, it also weighs far less and has a lower profile than the Mauler and also the Wolverine. The 105mm may not be powerful enough to guarantee kills on a modern MBT, but Cobra's ground forces tend to emphasize speed and affordability over armor, and the Mongoose should prove to be quite an effective snake hunter." I've been dragging my feet on building some towed hardware. Here's the venerable Whirlwind.
Towed heavy weaponry represents a lesser known element of early G.I.Joe, and this twin gatling system is one of the most exciting to me. Untitled by Magnus-L, on Flickr Untitled by Magnus-L, on Flickr Vamp jeep towing the Whirlwind by Magnus-L, on Flickr |

Love the mongoose, that very much feels like a early Joe vehicle. Super creative, and I love seeing the trio together.
Towed weaponry is great, that was one of my favorite things about the early line(I had a tan vamp and a howitzer which got a ton of play) So nicely done with the whirlwind and the humvee! I really do admire how you capture the feel and scale with your builds.

Thanks so much, sapperldr I've ignored towed weaponry for so long but I keep building vehicles with towballs, it was about time.
And on that topic, here's dedicated Tactical Towing Tractor - "Triple T". Tactical Towing Tractor - "Triple T" by Magnus-L, on Flickr Triple T towing the Whirlwind by Magnus-L, on Flickr |

I have one more mid size Joe land vehicle coming before the end of the month. November will end with a... big bang!
After that, I'll be finishing the year on a more sci fi level with some Cobra builds in December. |
