Thanks nervous! But what did you think of the mini Dragonfly?
Here's ldd pics of the Dragonfly in lego dark (forest) green And one last pic to show the comparisons I asked for opinions on my mini Dragonfly, but more specifically; do you think I should keep the longer canopy and tail sections? I was thinking that keeping the overall model shorter, may be closer to keeping it scale-accurate as to Night Raven and Sky Striker. This will be important information going further. |

Both of them are very recognizable as dragonfly's

Hey thanks for your input, sapperldr (you too nervous)! I believe you are right, and I've done the necessary restacking to get that model down to the shortened length. I haven't done any pics of it now; but hopefully will soon. Thanks again for your input; I appreciate any ideas/feedback I get. Those thoughts could possibly make w/e model come out better in the end ;)
Now onto something else: My first attempt at a mini Tomahawk! As always, comments/feedback are welcomed |

I have been running through some of my old threads, editing and replacing non-working pics. This thread looks to be complete now, but my other threads I'm still working on.

So no thoughts on Tomahawk then? Was hoping to get some feedback/suggestions about it. The front canopy doesn't relate well to the toy design, so I am fishing for some ideas. I haven't been able to enlist my son's help yet like with Dragonfly, but maybe sometime during this holiday break.
Anyway, on to something new! Remember I spoke about mocpages member Stephen Fender's creations a couple pages back with his mini Night Raven? Well he also did other mini versions of Sky Striker and the Killer Whale. I previewed my adapted version of his Sky Striker when I was revealing Dragonfly. I made it so the wings would be able to sweep back. It makes the model a little more bulky than I would hope, but there are some limitations when building this tiny lol I liked his Killer Whale model too, but it looked a little lacking to me. Here's the link to his version of Killer Whale. Mr Fender has so graciuosly included a download link to this ldd file as well ;) Screenshot: I downloaded his model and massaged alot of the snot out of it ;) Check out what it's looking like now: Well what do you guys think of it? Just seeing these smaller scale builds now - terrific work. (The WHALE seems to be a slightly different scale than the airplanes.)
I've had fun with microscale building before, and it is a great way to army build (and wargame). |
