Joe Brick Build Competition: Tomahawk/Eaglehawk
-Bricks can be any manufacturer, as long as compatible construction to Lego -Contestants should make their own MOC build, not specifically using a pre-made design. This is not to say borrowing elements from other designs are prohibited, but let's try to be original okay? -Contestants/Builders should give their best effort(s) to try to replicate the Tomahawk in brick form. (shape, color, features, etc) -If submitting an ldd build, it must use bricks/colors that are currently available. (Please don't use colors/pieces aren't actually produced.) -Maximum of ten entries can be accepted -Poll to be used for judging winning build -Winning builder will be awarded one of my Black HISS tank kits (pieces for converting kreo dojo hiss from dk blue) and One (1) Kreo Viper minifig! -The prizes for second and third places haven't been decided yet, but I've got a couple of ideas ;) I'm trying to make this a fun little contest, with the hopes of having more (with more prizes) in the near future. This way we might be able to see some more cool/iconic builds, and help pass the time while waiting on any news from the Joe Kreo camp ;) I'm thinking of a submission deadline sometime in June, with the voting poll to have a deadline and results shown around July 4th. So the big question now: What do you guys think?

I guess I'm just unclear which pic was to be for your entry, but if it is from something you've come up with then you are good. I'm guessing the green Chinook is what you are referring to? Oh man, I love the rotor blades on that thing! If you own the model with instructions, why not try to reconfigure it closer to the shape/size of the Tomahawk? It looks like you would have more than enough bricks in that build for that ;)
You could post a pic here, so it can be seen by everyone/anyone who may not have a FB account, as well. |

i thought about making it exactly like the real one. i have the parts laying around to do it but i like the mix of the old with the new. the kre-o line has joe vehicles that look nothing like the 3 3/4" ones so i went with that theme.
this has the front and side wings and the chin cannon like the tomahawk but also visually looks similar to the rear world one. i have the rounded whatever area it is that mounts at the bottom of the chopper but i left it off since the tomahawk doesnt have that. i meant to take before and after pics but forgot |

Here's a collage of Voice of Reason's Tomahawk entry. I also need to apologize to Voice of Reason for not seeing your modifications until you pointed them out...doh!

Not too shabby; nice work indeed. Been meaning to attempt this bad boy. This contest may force my hand soon.
