Fellow tanker ranquet's posting his IG goodness recently has inspired me to try to recreate some of his awesome looking designs. With all due credit and respect given: Here is my WIP copy of ranquet's AGP:
Sorry it's a little rainbow-ish for the moment :/ Here's a pic of the AGP in ldd *Build guide and LDD files are combined in a zip file a few posts down* Last edited by stealthy slim; 04-02-2016 at 08:55 AM.. |

ranquet's IG post showed us all a glimpse of his family's Lego GI Joe goodness that has left me with a passion for trying to replicate his great looking designs.
I am pleased to share my (hopefully) close copy of ranquet's: Destro's Despoiler I made my version on the despoiler with a clip on each side. One for his briefcase and one on the other side for his gun. I am not sure if ranquet's verson had the other two downward facing thrusters, but I like what I've come up with pretty well. Here's pics of the model in ldd *Build guide and LDD files are combined in a zip file a few posts down* Last edited by stealthy slim; 04-02-2016 at 08:56 AM.. |

Did you guys think I was done for the night?
Nope not yet. Tomahawk chadghost shared his Tomahawk entry submission, and I've reworked it a little. One of the things I dislike about ldd, is that it will allow you to many times build with pieces in colors that are not available. Because of a few of those issues, I was forced to change a few things up. I also decided to adopt the tan and the dark gray colors that everyone seems to have liked. Real World: It took me a few different brick orders this time around. Tomahawk.zip Last edited by stealthy slim; 05-18-2016 at 12:50 AM.. |

Totally dig the Tomahawk. I really want to do a version myself but my motivation is lacking lately.

Ranquet's DEMON tank has been a pretty tricky design for me to try to emulate. So much so that I needed to ask for some help on a couple specific parts. He was very gracious and took some pics of the underside of the model and helped explain how that rear hatch was done. So with his help, I have been able to get this just about 100 percent accurate. There is one fly-in-the-ointment so to speak. I did forget to ask how that gold robot body was attached to the top on the rear of the main assembly. I wound-up using an antenna/rod placed down in the model, but I'm not real happy with that one element.
Overall I'm pretty ecstatic with this build (and the rest of ranquet's stuff!) and am happy to be able to share it with everyone. IRL And finally of course, here's the build guides and ldd files for all three of ranquet's IG builds combined files into one zip: ranquet's IG builds.zip Thanks a ton, ranquet! =) Last edited by stealthy slim; 04-02-2016 at 08:53 AM.. |

Wow! That looks great - nice job! I used a 1x2 modified plate with arm up stuck into a hole on the gold robot body, which lets it swivel from side to side.

Of course! <smacks forehead> I have about twenty of those pieces laying unused in my small parts box! Doh! Now I've had to hurry and edit that .lxf file. So if any of you have already downloaded it, please grab it again; as this should be with the newly included piece incorporated.
Thanks again ranquet! =) |

Hey thanks man! =) Kre-O might be done, but I'm not!
Here we go! Conquest Update: I've completed a fairly close copy of My Kreo Conquest in ldd. This starts with the base design of the kreo ghost striker; but I think if I was going to redo this strictly in lego, I would probably start from scratch and wind up doing many things differently. I've done a couple design changes to this along the way, so it does differ from my IRL Kreo version a bit. But here it is for you to check out, regardless ;) Conquest.zip I am to the point of having to start taking some things down in order to have room for any new stuff. I can start by streamlining and maybe getting some feedback. I was wondering what everyone prefered me to share: the ldd files, or the build plans/pics.pfd's? If at all possible, let me know (even if only by pm) Last edited by stealthy slim; 05-18-2016 at 12:52 AM.. |
