Just read this issue, amazing! Really liked it. The orig snake would be able to handle captivity from cobra no prob, but can Throw-down? We’ll have to see!

Not a fan of the story in this issue. Seemed like something I would've thought up when I was 8 or 9. I really liked the art, though. Among others, the shot of the Aspids flying by the bridge was nicely done.
Some folks asked if this is the Pit II. By my count, it's "Ft. Wadsworth Pit IV". In brief: -Pit I (original. Blew up in issue 19, then re-built until it had a grand re-opening, circa issue 33) -Pit II (Destroyed in issue 53. Collapsed on Cobra Commander and Destro, even) -After that the Pit was moved to somewhere in Utah and began appearing, circa issue 64. Scored as "Pit III". This remains the "main" GI Joe base, today. -Sometime around...issue 210 or so (I think)... it was revealed that the Fort Wadsworth Pit was re-activated with a smaller crew. This was in conjunction with another smaller base (not necessarily a "Pit") in San Francsico. I think there may have been another "new" Pit at a different location. Nowadays, we have 3 different bases: Utah (Pit IV), Ft. Wadsworth (Pit III) and San Francisco. -I'd score the current Fort Wadsworth Pit as "IV", but include the "Fort Wadsworth" designation. I guess this might make the SF base "Pit V"...but I'm holding off on that, because, thus far, it only appears to be a dojo with NO subterranean levels. Why call it a "Pit" if it's not, y'know a PIT. Subterranean levels could very well be revealed, in the future, but for now the SF base hasn't appeared to be more than what we've seen. Please verify or add any details, if ya' got 'em.

Ahh..found it. Issue 201 was when Fort Wadswroth and San Francisco were officially named as GI Joe bases/facilities:
https://www.option38.com/g-i-joe-a-r...ican-hero-201/ Interestingly enough, issue 201 mentions that the Joes at Ft. Wadsworth were now under the guise of "Necrotic Armaments Defense Administration" (or "NADA"...har har). That seems to have been completely forgotten.

In a letters page, about three years ago, Hama mentioned that instead of No-Prizes, he'd be giving "NOH Awards". Same thing, different name. No idea what "NOH" stood for, either.
Of course, he promptly forgot about it and nobody's received one since he announced it. I still say "No-Prize" because nobody would get "NOH Award".

Larry should just go back and say that we've been reading about the "Earth-Two" ARAH universe ever since IDW hired him to continue writing the Marvel series, lol.

Yeah, if he doesn't bring Snake Eyes back, I'm sticking with Devil's Due as my canonical universe... (Sigh.) |

If Snake-eyes returns, it will probably be if Dawn's Snake-Eyes memories get placed in a clone body, or if the memories take her over, making her "Snake-Eyes"
