I'm looking for most of the 1998 (15th anniversary) Joes and vehicles...if anybody has extra drop me a line

I like the new figures, but love the old ones. I truly think they were much better toys, and honestly, never had more than one or two O-rings break on me throughout all the adventures my Joes had. A Phillips screwdriver and a replacement ring are all you need if it does break, so no biggie. They were also the best figures for customizing purposes... easy to disassemble and reassemble, and the hard plastic held paint well, even enamels.

Just joined up today. I've rediscovered the O-ring figures lately... they are more affordable and have more variety of different characters (Action Man, Headman, etc.). I have tons of 25th too but the O-rings are fantastico!

While I still like other incarnations of Joes, the O-Rings will always be #1 in my heart. I cannot wait to re-collect acceptable versions of my 7 favorite Joes/Cobras from back in the day (Snake Eyes v1.5, Tripwire v1, Airborne, Flash v1.5, Destro v1, Firefly v1, and Storm Shadow). I played with those the most. Pretty much all of 1982.5 through 1986 was my CORE years of Joe. That was when I was still young enough to enjoy the creativity of play time. As I got older, I kept trying to be more realistic while the figures kept getting more fantasy related.

I have just joined the O-ring Nation. I too have much love for the classic o-ring; and to be honest, they do make for better kids toys than the new sculpt stuff. I have 3- and 5-year old boys to prove it. They move better and fit into vehicles better for them, plus if an o-ring snaps, I've got backup. Plus I grew up on them, and cannot seem to get rid of them. Thanks for starting this group, and it's a pleasure to be here.

Just joined the group the modern figures are okay but for some reason I just prefer the O ring figures.

I love the o-ring figures. I like the new figures too but there's just nothing to choose from. Unless you want 50 million versions of the same 5 or 6 characters. If I want any kind of variety I have to turn to the old o-rings. I'm mostly into the very tail end of the line around '93-'94. A ton of awesome figures were released in those years that nobody pays any attention to.
