Me = Worried(?)

I sent a money order for a payment last Friday by first class, from SoCal to Long Island, and it still hasn't been delivered after 6 days.

Should I be worried?

If it doesn't get delivered by tomorrow I think my head is going to explode.

It depends who you are dealing with. Is it through eBay? But I wonder why people like to pay with a money order. Better to do with paypal or your credit card. With those you have some (even if limited) protection.

Because I have neither.

And I have delivery confirmation on it, so it's not like I'm waiting on confirmation from the seller.

This is more of a postal service question.

did you request a delivery confirmation from the post office?

You should sign up if you can.

The benefit of Paypal is that you may be able to get the money refunded if the seller doesn't fulfill his end of the deal. With a money order (or cash), if the seller doesn't want to send the item, there's really no way you can get back your money unless you go to his house and talk nice with him.

But I also need a confirmed credit card address, which I don't have.

And I've kept checking the DC status online but other than it being processed at Bell, CA nothing else has happened.

Give the person a call or send him an email to confirm that he sent it to your address. Good luck.

This thread is about how long it should take for a letter-sized letter to get from SoCal to Long Island.
The problem being that it seems to be taking an abnormally long time.
But, as a mailtard, I have no idea whether or not this is normal or not.

So there has not been any sending from their side yet.

Delivery Confirmation is just that. Delivery Confirmation. It doesn't track, it doesn't tell you anything but when it gets to its destination. Obviously if it hasn't been updated, yet, its not there. If its a letter, it could take seven business days to get where its going, especially since its basically going across the country.

Alright, well that eases my nerves a bit.

So I guess if it doesn't get there by tomorrow then I can start eating my nails.
