I would make this a poll but I need to know how many of you here trust this company in buying and selling your stuff for you? I for one am getting sick and tried of being sucked into buying and selling to people that I've never seen before and get jacked for my money, because I sent them a money order to avoid from paying on my credit card.
I'm sorry guys. I had a bad day with an E bay member and I don't know how to go about it. The guy has sold 1955 items and is a Power Seller and now he just became a (Not a registered user). I called him and I let the phone ring for at least 10 mins before I hung up. I emailed him a nice letter so I don't piss off the guy and I haven't gotten an answer yet. The guy has a store where he sells a lot more other stuff and it's looks legit. I guess I'm just getting tried of this happening to me. Even with a high selling advantage you still can get jacked for your money. Anyone here can help a brother out? |

I have little trust in ebay or the people selling things. That is why i keep the dollar amounts down to a minimum so if i end up getting taken, its not the end of the world.
So far I have had success with ebay and havent been scammed. *knock on wood* Good luck on getting it resolved!

Vega, I'm an eBay seller...and I agree with you. eBay has become an even shadier place that it once was. I only deal with folks I know, or folks that friends know, etc.
I would file a dispute through eBay in an attempt to get your funds back. I'm sorry that you're having a bad experience. :( |

Thankz Chief. It's just a pain to have to do this and then not be happy with anyone or not trust anyone. I buy more then I sell but when I sell things to people I want them to get the best service I can give them. I guess in return I'm the sucker that fell for them.:(

i been flim-flammed a few times.
the very first transaction i made/won i didn't get anything. loss= $10.00 (no big deal) in SEPT.2001 second time i got a clever bootleg when i won an original. what he didn't know was , i already HAD an original. he left negative on top of it. loss = $40.00 (ouch) since then i have learned not to dabble in "loose" figures because they claim "mint" but they come wrecked and very, very unmint. hard to disprove so you take the loss. i'm slowly starting to distrust ebay and tend to rarely buy stuff on there anymore. ..just my experiences. |

Totally agreed. I don't buy anything with a Money Order only as payment. Or any electronics. Counterfeit Chinese memory is the only memory out there on Ebay as far as I can tell. If its too good to be true, it is.
I've had bad experiences sending Money Orders, only to not receive anything. I ended up spending an extra $15 to see if the Order was actually cashed. Watch out for those bad pics of GI Joes also. I bought a Tomax/Xamot loose set that was actually just 2 Xamots. I didn't look close enough. And then there are the scalpers. Buying up every piece of toy merch and reselling it. I know its a Capitalist society, but this is ridiculous. |

I Love Ebay! Its the best way to shop for rare items. Without it my collection would be shit. I have also had a few people pull a fast one but its still does not stop me. Most sellers are honest 99.99% of the time.
Most important thing is to ask questions.

I love E-bay.. of course you get your bad days, but i've been lucky to have about 2-3 bad transactions out of over 1000+ which is pretty good. My transactions are of buying and selling Upper Deck golf cards. I've purchased many other items, clothes, sports equipment, car parts, etc and don't have an issue with E-bay.
I don't like to send Money Orders because unless you track it when you send it, you have no way of knowing if the person receive and cashed it. I just recently got a refund back from a seller because i sent my money and never got the items. It's been over a month of me e-mailing the guy before he sent out the refund. I'm not sure if he was pulling my leg or if everything was legit. |

Same here. If the Seller expects payment via Money Order, I put the money order in a padded mailer with a crumpled piece of paper inside (to make the width more than 1.25") and add delivery confirmation. FYI - Once a person cashes a Money Order...any wrongdoing becomes a Federal Offense. You might want to look in to your options if there's a large some of money involved in a sour transaction. There are ways to get your money back! |
