Add Commercial electricians to that list...
its funny ...when i looked at a new house to rent,I was explaining that i collect toys and needed shelf space in the new house to the landlord. We then went to my old house(to show them my 2 dogs havent damaged the old house),he fell in love with my toy room. After a few weeks in the new house,he said he couldnt wait to see my new toy room...hes still in disbelief of my collection!!

That's funny. I just met a guy the other night at the Irish Rover bar who likes to listen to my friend play and sing. Turns out he has a huge GI Joe collection from his childhood.
He does not collect as an adult and didnt quite get when I mentioned I do custom figures but he was sure into the old stuff etc. I dunno what he does for a living but you are right, Joe Fans are everywhere.

Great story, but not the angle I was expecting it to take when you said: "When he walked out my girl and I were sitting on the couch in the loft and told him thanks for coming out..."
I was half expecting some "alternate form of payment" to be brought into play.

Cool story man. We had some furniture delivery guys bring a sofa into my toy room a few months ago and one of the guys was checking out my display cabinet when he noticed it. He started naming all the Cobras off (CC, Baroness, Destro, the Twins, Zartan, etc) and mentioned how he was really into Joe and Transformers when he was younger.

That's a great story. I've pretty much always been a toy collector so there was never really a time when I wasn't into this stuff. But it's always cool to meet someone who liked Joe, or Star Wars, or whatever, as a kid and has been out of it for a long time and kind of re-discovers it through your collection. There's always the unmistakable "Hey, I had that when I was a kid!" look. Good stuff.

Secret society?? Makes us sound like we're COBRA, or G.I.Joe itself.
