Well, it was never my intent to "slap" anyone. As noted in my post, I'm just as guilty of whining. Yet, I whine about people whining...which only serves to cause conflict between members & staff. Plus, I type WAY too much, which never helps. lol.
Again, I say this and mean it: For the most part, all of our members, guys & gals alike, are good people.
We just have to realize that although we're behind a screen, we're still interacting in a social environment. |

I couldn't have phrased it better myself. Think thats sound advice for life, not just Joe themed forums! |

The Tank has become an Internet version of the "Wild West" shoot first and ask questions later. Not very fun. I work from home when I am not on-set (lucky me) and I was posting about ten times a day. Now there are days I just stay away. So, I raise my proverbial glass (I don't have a real one around ~ sorry) and toast to change. Here, here......"To the future of a calmer Tank."
Now with that said, I am a stern believer that you need to Lead if you expect people to follow and the fact that you acknowledge that you have participated in some of these silly arguments speaks volumes about your character. I for one have new found respect for you. So if you are a man of your word and lead this charge, I certainly will be the first to follow. I suspect others will do as well.
Also, thank you Eric for letting us respond. You could have just As easily made your post and closed out the thread.

I saw it happen over at TFw2005 regarding the Michael Bay movie (which I thoroughly enjoyed) and just had to leave the forum due to the bitterness on display literally every single day.
If it happened here I'd be very upset, as I love JOE more than I'll ever be into TF, so I think we all need a reminder that the anonimity of the internet doesn't give us carte blanche to be nasty cowards.

C-Rage, you're right, we are all very passionate about our hobby/hobbies. I think TFW2005 is a great site. You're bound to have very different personalities clashing when there's 30,000 members lurking about.
Us? This is our time to ensure that we make this place for those that will take our places when we leave. If we leave. Do any of us EVER log off? LOL |

But, I'm now spamming this thread. I thank you all for sharing your thoughts and opinions, and want to express, yet again...if you don't agree, please know that you're more than welcome to share your opinion without fear of retaliation. Just do so in a mature manner.
That being said, if you feel that you must go nuts and curse me/this thread out, do so via PM. Thanks! |
