Miami Heat

Looks like D-Wade is staying and Chris Bosh is signing with them! Whether LBJ joins them or not they are gonna be one hell of a tough squad to beat next year!

I don't think Miami has enough room to sign all three guys unless Bosh is coming in a sign-and-trade deal, but Toronto said they won't deal with Miami because they have nobody worth trading for on the roster.

The Wade and Bosh combo is a good one, but still leaves the Heat a long way from being a title contender. They only have 2 players under contract on their whole roster before getting Wade and Bosh (if that does happen).

However, having those two guys on the team will help allure some players via free-agency, trades and using the mid-level exemption.

Nice signings. For a while it seemed like Miami wasn't going to try to do anything in free agency.

That's a great pairing. I hope Bron signs in Miami as well. It would be incredible to see that team use the rest of the league as their collective urinal for the next 5+ years.

Even if he doesn't though, the Heat are stacked now. Wade and Bosh are a perfect pair.

The issue is that only Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers are under contract. It's not like they can go out and get a Mike Miller, David Lee, and fill out the roster with unproven guys, because James isn't going there. One player can certainly turn a team aroud in the NBA, but it take a whole team effort and some amount of depth. They'd literally be a Wade or Bosh injury from the lottery if they can't get James. And they're still not as good as the Magic or Celtics w/Ray Allen. People act like Bosh is the second coming of KG. He's a nice player, but so was Shareef Abdur-Rahim when he had no help in Vancouver.

How are they stacked?

Miami has two players (Chalmers and Beasley) under contract and with Wade and Bosh signing that brings their roster to four players. As of right now, they don't even have enough for a starting lineup.

Here's what needs to happen for Miami to get James:

1) Bosh in a sign-and-trade but with Miami only having 2 players signed, is virtually impossible.

2) Cleveland in a sign-and-trade but same rules apply here that go for Toronto.

3) James, Wade and Bosh all sign for slightly less per season ($14 million instead of $16.7 million) which leaves them with NO cap space to sign anybody else and gives them just five players on the roster.

4) All three players only sign three-year deals instead of max deals which makes them all FAs again after 2012-13.

LeBron just got screwed and will be forced to stay in Cleveland now and he will have no help once again and the Cavaliers can't do anything to bring him any help.

Boozer in a sign and trade to Cleveland. Utah would be foolish to pass on Hickson or Varejao and a wing guy like Parker or West. Utah has no diversity and all 4 guys play multiple positions.

First off id like to say that Lebrons staying in Cleveland. They have a good team right now. They won 61 games last year and they were close to getting past Boston. I think they need one more key player and their right there. Miami is looking good with keeping Wade and signing Bosh. The only thing that concerns me is Boshes consistancy. Half of their teams rookies.....which has little talent being so young.

The thought of Boozer coming back to Cleveland, well I am not sure what to think about that. He's right there with Albert Belle as the most hated sports figure in the town after the stunt he pulled before going to Utah.

I realize the Cavaliers won 60 games last season (in fact they did it the last two seasons) and got outplayed big time in the playoffs by Orlando and Boston. Cleveland wasn't even close to getting past Boston this past season and the Lakers would have beat them badly in the finals.

Here's the deal with Cleveland: They are going to be a very good regular season team and will continue to struggle in the playoffs until LeBron gets at least one (maybe two) more superstars. You are not going to win an NBA title with a roster of Mo Williams, Delonte West and Daniel Gibson as your backcourt options and the front court is depleted as well with No Z and Shaq for 2010-11.

LeBron James got screwed with all of the signings and he has nobody to blame but himself because all the moves the Cavaliers made in the last three years were LeBron moves and it handcuffed them with the luxury tax and not being able to sign players this year.

See I don't think Cleveland is right there...I think if Lebron stays its a mistake! Cleveland has been "right there" for 2yrs now and still haven't made it back to the finals. They thought Shaq would put them over the top, but once again he was just another fat, failed experiment! I think LBJ would be best suited in Chicago
