Based on a comment by Black Llama in my last thread and by the fact that yesterday I received a movie from NetFlix that I turned off and sent back after watching about 25 min, I was thinking; what are the worst stories/movies/shows that you just couldn't take and had to turn off or walk out of?
In no particular order "The Spirit" (which was the NetFlix movie FYI) "Jurrasic Park" the movie (saw it in a $1 theater with buddies, we left about 75min into it) "Pulp Fiction" (turned it off after having rented it at about the 20min mark) Star Trek TNG comic mini series Ghosts (I bought the first two of four issues and couldn't stand it)

Its VERY rare no matter how bad it is for me to shut it off but there have been a few.
Doomsday, Or rather I wish I had, talk about plagerism. The Spirt-terrible film. There was one about bugs (I think that was the title) that I gave up on half way through, just horrible. The Jason Statham/Jet Li movie War, I didn't shut it off but didn't pay any attention to it 20 min after it started so I may as well have. Ronin-What the crap was going on in that movie anyway? Just got bored and left. Heat-Long, boring staring contests, not for me. |

Okay, heres a few I turned off or changed. Ernest in Africa(STUPID MOVIE!!!!!!!!!), The Cat in the Hat(Equally repulsive, especially the mechanics' asscrack sequence.), Two Can Play The Game(In which the "Rules" of dating are so complex it would fill four sets of the enclyclopedia. Not the individual volumes, the entire sets.), Bratz, the Movie(I HATE those hooker-dolls to begin with, and the movie was about clothes obsessed snob girls: Thankfully, it was a flop.), Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow(The storyline was so dull and predictable I changed it after ten minutes.), and the new Prisoner series(It was so hard to get into, and none of the characters were as compelling as the original characters from the original series. Number 6 from the original series would have had the grenade-toting number 2 from the new series chattering like a monkey and swinging from tree to tree.)

Yeah I've sat through some unbelieveable crap films in my time (Rock n Roll Nightmare, I Know Who Killed me) and never left...hell they were so bad I bought them on DVD.
BUT I do have some films I've just had to stop watching. I'll 'Always Know What You Did That Summer' was on one night 45 minutes into the film I realized there has to be something better I can be doing, than watching this...I gave up and don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Also I watched the first HArry Potter flick and just felt it was so awful I couldn't watch any others. |

Van Helsing. Forced my way through watching it on DVD over a few nights
I almost felt like walking out of the theater when I saw Clash of the Titans a few weeks back. |

Blade. Not my type of vampire movie.
Also, what about that Antonio Banderas movie "Two Much" where he plays a con man posing as twins? I turned it off as I couldn't take more than 10 minutes of it...

WOW I really liked the 1st Blade, though I'm not much of a horror movie fan and I tend to like Superhero movies so that might explain it.
