whoa there amberbratt, were not talking marble here. i think i would be in mexico right now. it's a simple top, bs'd to look like an expensive one (wood and laminate). however, i did fancy some of the waste as new shelves for my collection racks for my new toy room. you had me pegged on my thoughts for the material, but thankgod it wasn't stone!

I don't want to get into details. But my worst day at work would have to have been on September 11, 2001. I'll leave it at that.

I've had many days, but they were typically the ones when some thing screws up and they have to pick a person to blame completely, conveniently me. Fortunately, I've moved on.

I just spent 6:30 am to 2:00 pm on my feet running around gowned up in a class 100 Lab environment, with a tight-ass face mask, oversized clown shoes and my inside scrub pants around my ankles while I packaged skin. And when I got out and was able to eat lunch, their was no room I had to eat alone at my crappy tiny desk. Anyone else have to work in clean rooms all covered up?

CIAD - I have a very BAD funny feeling I think I know which building # 2 you are referring to. Please tell me/us I am wrong? :( .

My have two very bad days at work, both involved me being injured. First of all i am a CNC machinist. Well when i was first starting in the biz, is was doing a setup and I leaned too far into the machine and gashed my head on a .047 wide grooved tool. It left a patch of hair on the tool and blood streaming down my face. it was nothing two staples in the scalp couldn't fix.

unfortuantly building number 2 is exactly what you think. ciad played catcher for the san francisco rainbow march of 2007. building number 2 is code for up the (*). or in ciads case its up the (0) now :(

My second came about 3 years later. I was helping a co-worker deburr a large threaded part REAL close the the chuck when my right hand slipped....right into the chuck. Ten inch chuck, steel jaws, 1200rpms. I got real lucky. Seven stiches in my index finger, two stiches in my FU finger and tore off half my thumb nail two weeks before the birth of my daughter.

No, that's not what I was thinking of, and I'm not familiar with what you are referring to either, but it certainly doesn't sound good. :( I was afraid CIAD was referring to WTC # 2. :( Glad to hear that he was not. Hope no one else has any direct relation to that terrible day either, but I'm afraid I have a funny feeling we aren't that fortunate. :( .
