Okay, short version of a long story:
Spent the last 15 or so of my 21 years of life suffering random, sporadic, yet intense stomach pain. No reason behind the pain, just it hurts, really really bad. I've tried all of the standard pills (tylenol/pepto bismol/etc.) and I have seen numerous doctors and specialists, and have gotten nowhere, so my question is: Does anyone have a non-medicinal (no pills/"go see a doctor"/etc.) advice for stomach pain? (If your suggestion is drugs/substances, gtfo now. Especially anything illegal.) |

I had really bad pain and I felt a tumor in my stomach that would get inflammed once in a while. Once I got it removed, I never felt the pain again

Have you tried ginger ale? Alternatively, a heating pad on your tummy often can work.

15 of the last 21 years, only real advice would be to see, or call, a doctor. It's obviously not life threatening, but it has been going on for way too long and standard drugs just aren't cutting mustard. Could be an ulcer, or even potential lactose intolerance. I found this on a website under "childhood illnesses" but i think it could apply to your case:
Lactose intolerance or milk protein allergy – these two conditions are not the same thing. One is an inability to digest lactose sugar, the other is an allergic reaction throughout the body to milk proteins. Both, however, can cause upset stomach and abdominal pain. Symptoms include: Stomach cramps after eating dairy. Gas pains. Intestinal cramps. Diarrhea. The pain is usually crampy, gassy pain felt anywhere in the abdomen. It often is worse after eating dairy, but may come and go anytime during the day. |

It sounds like you need medical attention, if you have been suffering from this for as long as you claim.
However, for temporary relief you might want to try a glass of water with 2 tbsp of baking soda mixed in it. Just try to drink it down in one big sip if you can. But, I'd seriously consider consulting a professional.

Oddly enough I think mint used to help.. not sure why I stopped keeping a lot on hand. Time to rummage through the cabinets.
edit - and as I have said, I've seen doctors, seen specialists, had all of the tests done to me... nothings turned up, aside from me wondering why the hell they can't find anything with how much it costs. |

I take an Accuflora pill daily as a pro-biotic and keep NOW brand Peppermint Gels (you can get them from Whole Foods) as a backup if I need something after a meal. Works wonders.
