I'm looking to expand my display area and was looking for some cheap shelves. I don't want to go with any wall mounted shelves for now because things in my Joe room are constantly getting moved around. So, just thought I'd see if anybody has used the shelves for displaying Joe stuff or other figures on. Plus, they are a pretty decent price.
Walmart.com: 5-Shelf Bookcase, Beech Set of 2: Furniture Thanks in advance. **UPDATE** I picked up my shelves today, had them shipped to the store to get the free shipping. I just put one together real quick and put a bunch of random stuff on it so you guys could get an idea of how they looked. Nothing amazing but I think they look pretty good. These are actually 4'7" tall. The shelves are pretty heavy and the supports are plastic. It seems to hold up really well though. Each shelf holds about 55lbs according to the description. Anyways, here is a quick pic to check it out. Last edited by JohnnyAngel77; 01-14-2010 at 12:19 AM.. |

Dust in a serious annoyance. I have a black shelf that I have to dust off every week or 2 so that wouldn't be too much of an issue.

If dust is an annoyance just buy a nice air cleaner. I have two in my basement and it really keeps the dust down.

My toy room gets a lot of traffic though. Its the quickest way to the kitchen from anywhere in the house but the living room really. Would it still help though a decent amount?

I used them in the past or some just like them, and I wasn’t all that happy with them. They are not very wide like 7 or 8 inches. Good for figs not so much for vehicles
