Not tootin my own horn or anything, it just made me happy.
My bro in law and his family were over tonight. They live about 5 hours away, he is in the Air Force. We don't get to see them but a few times a year so its always a nice visit. My bro in law is a huge Star Trek fan, about as big of a fan as I am of Joes. That really has nothing to do with the story... So they brought some gifts to my 3 boys and they were all pretty cool. My wife had picked out a pair of "Cars" roller skates for my 6 year old nephew though. Nothing to be that excited over. So, they were about to leave and I was showing him my Joe stuff. He was all big eyed and "wowing" over everything. I ended up giving him the ROC Arctic Threat Storm Shadow MOC. He took it out of my hands so fast and was so excited and that made me excited so I also gave him the ROC Mantis Sub MIB. The first Joe stuff he had ever gotten. He left my house so happy that his mom called to tell me how happy he still was over it like 2 hours later. I always give my boys Joe stuff so they are use to it. But to see my nephew get that excited over it was awesome. It made that feeling come back to when somebody would give me Joe stuff when I was a kid. I could always tell people like my grandmother were happy to see me so excited over Joe stuff all the time. Tonight I got to be on that end of it. Was a good night. |

That is News worthy material right there. Why can't E or the Insider take a story like that and run with it.
Seriously, thats awesome! Thanks for sharing it.

my nephew is into star wars and clone wars, and i was able to find him a figure for christmas that his parents could not find, so he was very excited.
on the flip side, my sister called me a couple months ago and said that the kids saw something in the store and they just had to get it for me for christmas, they said it would be perfect for me. so what did they pick for me? gi joe cartoon on dvd, season 1. everybody has a merry christmas. |
