My auction description starts off in large, red bold letters that International shipping will cost anywhere from $25-$45. What do all my international questions consist of? See above. If you aren't ok with possibly paying $45 for shipping and factor that in, then no need to ask. I make NO MONEY on International Shipping and also clearly state that in my auction.
THEN I get people who will then get upset with me when I tell them shipping is $32. They ask me why my shipping is so much higher than everyone else's. Again, my auction clearly states that you either go Priority or Express. No first class. I need a tracking number and lourd forbid, insurance should something go wrong.
I have ten plus years of doing this. I know a thing or two about it. Yet people always ask me questions like I am new to the game. This is VERY frustrating.

Like so many others in this thread, I simple don't buy from those with the over-inflated shipping costs. However, I am almost at my breaking point as I buy quite a bit on ebay and the whole idea of "tattling" is somewhat ridiculous. For starters, tattling is something that usually serves no purpose. Reporting these bleeping crapholes is not "tattling" and would serve a purpose (in-theory). If people continue to sell things with those kind of shipping costs and get away with it, they will continue to do it and some people will continue to be dumb enough to bid and buy. I think there are enough of us on here that are at the very least annoyed by it that if even a few of us reported such things, there would be some difference made. Is it our job to? Of course not. But if something bothers you enough, you do something about it.

I think that if someone has a problem with shipping costs than they shouldn't buy from the seller with the costs they have a problem with.

On eBay, don't look at shipping as the actual shipping. Look at it as part of the total price for the item. For a buyer, there's no difference between a $15 item w/ $5 shipping vs a $5 tag w/ $15 shipping for the same item. If all else is the same, just go with the one with lower shipping. There's an option on eBay to sort items by price + shipping. That's what I always use.

I have been an eBay member for about 7 1/2 years. I mainly just buy stuff now. When I look at an auction and see what I think is unfair shipping, I just move on. The sellers cannot leave negative feedback anymore so they are at the buyers mercy. When you pay $8 in shipping and see it only cost $4 on the box, you've been duped. Would I report it ? No. If people would take the time to read the shipping part of the listing, they might understand better how it works. Sellers have to buy packaging/boxes/and pack the items(s). They put wear and tear on their vehicles, fuel costs money, and time is spent waiting in lines, or driving your package to the post office. All the buyer is doing anymore is sitting at the computer for a couple minutes, and waiting for their stuff to arrive in the mail. Really the person to blame is the person who buys from someone with "unfair" shipping. I truly believe eBay is a wonderful tool.

I put buyer beware but it still irks me to see that item you want for a decent price, then click only to see shipping is 3x the price of the item...ridiculous
"And I don't want the world to see me, cuz I don't think that they'd understand. When everythings made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am."
