Was it the Hills on Woodman or in Springfield? I drive by them all the time.

But I DID frequent Jamesway , Ames, and Caldors.
I miss those old stores, their toy aisles were always packed with cool stuff. |

It was the Hill's on Woodman Drive. Once Hill's closed it turned into a Lumber yard. I just heard that a new retail might finally move into the old Hill's store. It makes me sad when I drive by it. All I can think about and see is the big Red Hill's letters above the entrance.

BigFore, thanks for the cool story. I always like to hear other fans had good memories of Hill's.

I remember Hills fondly like many of you do.
I also had a Richway in my town. Thought Hills had the better selection. I remember them mostly in conection to Joes. Thanks for the memory recall. Even though I think of them often.

Hey Jllewis80 did you know our old hills ( now a TRU) is haunted?
No joke. I will have to post a pic of my Hills shirt that gets worn on special days . |

AWESOME! NO WAY. I did not know that but now that you mention it I do get a real eery feeling in TRU sometimes. I do find it extremely odd that the Joes now reside in the same vicinity that they did when it was Hills.

I have some great memories of Hills...
Huge toy section, and the one by my house had Dragon's Lair out front by the shopping carts. That game got a lot of quarters from me... Good times... |

Hills was great, got a lot of Joes from there. I remember getting Joes from Service Merchandise and Jamesway too.
