Well, I don't know that guns don't have a practical use, but I did talk about collecting. In that case, my point was that collecting is collecting. No need to pretend you have them for personal protection.

I can't recall who it was that first compared the two, but it wasn't Derek. I said you couldn't throw a G.I. Joe at a deer and feed your family, if I recall. But the concept of collecting I guess I can get behind. I don't really agree with it, but I can understand the concept. |

As it turns out, Joseph agrees collecting guns for the collecting's sake males perfect sense, so it's a moo point anyway. (A "moo" point is like a cow's point, it doesn't matter. It's "moo".)

LOL - I must have been 19 at the time, and it was before I knew a whole lot about guns. Seemed like a great idea at the time.
My other "loony tunes" moment was when I was at this flea market one day just poking around this Army Surplus tent. This old dude and I start talking about guns, and I had a Model 80 Colt Officers .45 that I was looking to trade for something cooler. The guy was interested and took me out to his truck. Behind the back seat was a Springfield M-1 Carbine, it was missing the rear reciever but it had the the Springfield Factory stamping on it denoting that it was number 1200 off the assembly line. It got better when this old dude pulls out one of the old basket style grendade launchers and hooks it to the front. He said that he had 5 cases of grenade that had never been opened and we could trade it all to me for my Colt + 500 dollars. All that kept running through my head was that i was going to make this trade and like 100 ATF agents were going to arrest me and drop me in a hole somewhere. I declined and regret it to this day. You are smarter than me brother. I would have been like, "You take cash or check?" LOLZ

I just unloaded four 15 round mags from my Beretta 9mm into a head/body target. All mid-mass, except for the last clip, all heads shots but two. Damn Beretta goes wide when it gets hot (and when I am using crappy Federal ammo).

I have a huge field out behind my house - I could just see it riddled with little grenade craters. Last edited by Flint071; 11-02-2010 at 06:26 PM.. |
