[QUOTE=Dealer Destro;1279360]Ruger P345 aka "Tyranny Suppressor 1" - Sidearm
Mossberg 500 - For any would be home invadors Bushmaster carbine custom outfitted aka "Tyranny Suppressor 2" - For when the NWO rears it's ugly head in public There is a saying that I go by: "Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it" I've got my trusty sword to take care of NWO scum with hidden knives in the hilt for those "just-in-case" scenarios. I am guessing it is only a matter of time before they do rear their ugly heads. Last edited by villainsrule; 04-24-2010 at 08:45 AM.. |

You name it, I probably have it (no BS and I am NOT bragging either).
As I sit here and type this, my SAR-1 AK (semi-auto only AK clone) is leaning against the corner of my desk, and my Glock 21 is in the handgun safe w/ in arms length, along w/ my usual carry pieces. Everything else is in the BIG safe in the other room.

Wow. Reading through all these posts, I'm glad to live in a place where I don't feel like I need a weapon to be safe.
I hate, and at the same time love, that fire arm ownership is so strictly regulated here in Australia - as much as I hate the over regulation, I must admit, it works. It seems to me that the easier it is for the average person to own a weapon, the more armed violent crime there is. As much as I enjoy shooting (when I get to the range), I don't mind that the crims can't get the guns. - Ian EDIT: (hahaha - I suck... look at my sig) |

We live in very high crime area w/ a lot of robbery and home invasions. :( Not to mention my area is also prone to natural disasters, such as what happened to New Orleans w/ hurricane Katrina in '05. Living w/ the idea of looting after such a disaster is a VERY real possibility here. :( Beyond that I also do not enjoy the fact that I feel I have to "carry" a weapon w/ me also (and I do) in my regular day to day life outside of the home just for the regular BS we have here. Trust me, it's a real pain in the arse sometimes, almost sometimes seems more trouble than it's worth, but God forbid you needed and don't have it :(, and not to mention VERY expensive when you get done with all of it in the end (then guns themselves, ammo, cleaning supplies, range fees, making the time to practice, ammo, holsters, ammo, larger clothing to assist w/ concealment when carrying, MORE ammo, MORE practice, ect.). It get's to be quite pricey in the end. :(

Exactly, I could not have said it better myself. Hell, if Ian lives in Oz he ought to know that already. :( Oz's crime rate went through the roof when their government cracked down on personally owned firearms to make their citizens more "safe". :(

You are wrong there.
I'm not sure what the situation in Australia was before the government clamped down on gun ownership so i can't comment, however banning guns for private ownership did not cause the rise in crime in the UK. The everyday citizen has NEVER had the right to bear arms in England. Before 1995 you could apply for a firearms permit to own a gun to shoot on ranges. You could never legally carry a firearm in the street. The only legal gun carriers were target shooters and farmers. The massive rise in gun crime is due to an open door immigration oplicy, which has seen foreign criminals move here en mass and an ineffective border control, which has seen 1000s of guns being moved from ex soviet bloc countries and warzones such as Iraq and Yugoslavia. This is a problem all over Europe. While banning gun ownership in the UK it didn't cause the explosion of crime it just left the law abiding citizen helpless. However, as you said it was obvious that banning guns would not make any difference to criminals who already owned guns illegally and intended to use them for criminal activities.
