So the guys and I regularly discuss our plans for a national break down of law and order whether that be from a natural disaster, zombie plague or otherwise. I personally have a highly practical outload of ammo, food, fuel and the like. All packed into two large pelican cases ready to be thrown into the truck. So the question is...what is in YOUR outload and what would your plan be?

The "throw stuff in the truck" scenario is not my first line of defense because I soon as I have to abandon the vehicle due to being out of fuel, getting multiple flats, hitting a roadblock, etc. I will have to abandon that gear anyway. Thus, I think I would prefer to have that sort of gear (extra food and fuel and ammo, etc.) already stored at a remote location that I would intend to escape to by vehicle if possible and on foot if necessary. |

The Beretta in the car, extra clip in the glove box. Will make due with whatever I find along the way. Chances are if it hits I won't be expecting it and I'll have to McGyver some crazy shit anyway.

I have a bag ready at all times. Actually its a Rubbermade/plastic tub, with changes of clothes and shoes for me and my wife. I keep guns and ammo in the house, and a few cases of bottled water and plenty of canned food.
I can hunt and fish. I've got a SUV, a pickup truck and a boat. My house is in a rural part of the county in NC, so outbreaks of anykind won't affect my as quickly as someone in a major city. I'm ready for any type of disaster. 'Cept maybe aliens. Or locust. |

I've spent the last 15 years collecting the names and addresses of people with good Zombie plans in terms of food and water and shelters and such. One column is shooters, the other column is... um... shootees.
Beyond that, my plan is hiding out through the first wave of badness then hunting my way to happiness. High armament and low morality means I will never go hungry. |

I have purposely gained 60 pounds over the last 3 years. This substantial energy reserve will allow me to sit out the initial hordes onslaught. After which, i will emerge and lay claim to "Cheiftoria", which will encompass most of Tennessee (the zombies can have Memphis).
Since i am too cheap to buy my own weapons, i will rely on my buddy's stash of SKS assault rifles to defend Chieftoria. My minivan with dual sliding doors will give me the perfect platform for my conquests, allowing maximum fields of fire both port and starboard. I have a highly trained Beagle, who will warn me of approaching undead, and then sniff thier rear end to determine who gets a head shot, and who gets hit with a shovel. My 4 cats will be my scouts, alerting me to possible survivors, and any stashes of catnip, which will be the currency of this post-apocolyptic world. After Chieftoria falls to the usual post-survival infighting, we will set sail to India, recover the Skystriker molds, and finally produce that epic toy again, uniting humanities remnant with the one item that can truly bring world peace. |

Completely supported. It could be said that one needs only a good rifle and a handful of rounds. There will always be a plentiful supply of sheep...not the woolly kind.

I heard that!
Seriously where I live as soon as you can walk you are taught survival skills. Huntin, fishin, campin ( not sissy style but real campin). My favorite lesson is if you aint gonna eat it dont shoot it, a waste of bullets, find something else to kill it with. |
