Wayne/Batman belongs on that list. Number #2 that's debatable. Top #10 though for sure.

Are we talking IQ, numbers smart OR overall intelligence? Because Bruce Wayne is a brilliant tactician and detective with no equal, thus earning him a spot on the list.

I think Ray Palmer should rank higher on that list. Definitely higher than Peter Parker

parker is very intelligent, and would be on the same level as Blue beetle or Hank Pym, if he wasnt so distracted with spiderman stuff... He did create his own web shooters and formula.. Xavier is the worlds leading Genetisist on Mutants, probably second only to Mr. Sinister (who is a step further by being like 100 years older , and free of scientific restriction) Wayne is arguably the smartest person in the DC universe, being an expert,.. in like.. everything, and anticipaing ideas that villans havent even thought up yet.

From the page: "For the characters included here, intelligence played an important role in their ascension to the superhero role. Many are formally educated, earning degrees from prestigious universities and then using those skills to their advantage by developing gadgets and technology to aid them in their adventures. For others, a freak accident while experimenting with a new invention -- as is the case with Mister Fantastic, the Hulk, Yellowjacket, and the Atom -- led to their transformation from human to superhero." If that's the case, Wayne doesn't belong on this list. If it's overall intelligence/tactician/etc.. then yeah, and so should Steve Rogers. But for a list of engineers and scientists?

i would definetly argue that:
parker is very intelligent, and would be on the same level as Blue beetle or Hank Pym, if he wasnt so distracted with spiderman stuff... But does that put Parker and Xavier above others that are more well rounded? Moira McTaggert is a better Geneticist then Xavier, who isn't really a scientist. Like I said earlier, Parker had the potential but he never uses it. I'd put him before Whitman and Braddock just because of his potential. But there's no way Oracle should be on this list. And there's no way Wayne is the smartest in the DCU, one of the top ten in overall intelligence yes, but as an engineer and scientist? Mr. Terrific is the DCU's 3rd Smartest Man. The list missed Ted Kord, Doc Samson, Amadeaus Cho

Seeing how the list was from Businessweek, who probably doesn't have a large audience that is up on the latest comics, I can see why the list was done that way.
How many Businessweek readers would know who Ted Kord is? Or Moira Mctaggert?
