This way is NOT the best for the buyer, but the buyer agreed to it by purchasing the items. If something looks strange, ask questions before jumping the gun on the buy button. As buyers we all have 50% responsibility of the contract, and you should not enter into that contract until you are fully satisfied with the deal that you will received. You need to factor in feedback and shipping costs and time frame into that contract as well. If you didn't ask, that's a shame. I'm not taking the sellers side, he sounds like a big ol D-bag...I am simply stating that you are partly to blame for not verifying any of this before purchase. My suggestion would be to offer "nicely" to the seller taht you would like to cancel the transaction officially through eBay. This can be done if the seller sends you the proper form to agree to. If he does this his sellers fees will be reversed and no one loses.

Devils due view coming........
what happens if he doesnt combine, ships, and it comes and the shipping amount comes to almost 60 (we will say 50 for instance). Do you cut him slack seeing as he really didnt make alot of profit? Case in point. I get customers all the time that will put in multiple items. they will go in and over a 3 day period put in 3-4 orders. Its usualy small stuff and we are only talking a couple bucks here and there for what they pay for shipping. I will take them all and put them in one box. By the time you add the weight of the box and shipping supplies it ususaly comes to close to what they paid for all the small stuff that are priced (shipping charges) to go in a bubble mailer. So if the actual amount that the seller pays for shipping to you is close to the actual amount you paid for all the items are you then fine with it being combined? Im just asking for my personal curiosity. Ive been practicing this for a while and havnt had an issue. If the amount the customer pays for shipping ends up being excessivly more then what i pay then of course ill make it up to them but normaly its close. Anyhow oppinions?

He probably only has 7 feedback because he does this all the time and when someone calls him on it and loads him with negs, he closes and starts a new account. If he feels he can keep his profits high in this way, he will do it again. These kind of people have no morals.

With EBay, if I bid on multiple auctions I make sure they combine shipping. Now if it's multiple auctions ending a day or two together, still make sure they combine shipping. If it's auctions ending a week apart, I EXPECT seperate shipping. I'm not expecting the seller to hold the items and combine on the off-chance that I win the later auction.
Now if I go to an online store, I put in an order that day and that's what I'm paying for shipping. THe next day if I put in another order, that's a seperate transaction and I'm expecting to pay the shipping. Now if the owner is nice and combines to save a couple bucks, that's awesome, but if not I'm not expecting it.

The problem is...the seller does not combine shipping prices because that is where his profit is. Just because he does not offer combined shipping does not mean that he can't put the items in the same box.

I sold a Motorcycle fuel tank on Friday for $15 and $15 shipping based on weight. The buyer is from California and shipping is twice as expensive...which means if I ship it...I'm paying him to take it and losing money.
You can bet your bottom dollar that I am canceling this sale and refunding his money today. What do you think about that? Quote:
