Sheesh.. buyers are just as bad as sellers...
Look, it's simple. If the auction didn't say it combined shipping, then don't expect combined shipping. The seller could have been nice and combined it, but he didn't. Now, where he is now combining and selling in one package, he should offer a discount on the shipping because it is one package. That is the only "leg" the buyer has. He should insist on seperate packages and he has a case for seperate packages. As a buyer, you need to pay more attention to the fine details. Technically, the seller did nothing wrong and people bitching about giving him feedback and going onto EBay and getting involved are just wrong. If the seller insists on combined shipping, then there should be a combined shipping cost, not seperate. The seller is a douche in that regard but no one else should be getting involved, that's just being one yourself. The guy is asking for advice, and that's all we should be giving. If the auction doesn't say anything, then guess what, it's not combined shipping. And before anyone bitches about "sellers sticking together" or any crap like that. I don't sell on EBay, I only buy. And I make sure and read and don't assume whenever I buy anything. Six seperate transactions, six seperate shipping costs, should receive six seperate packages. End of story. Nothing more to it. If the seller insists on combining shipping, then you insist on a combined shipping cost since BY THE SALE CONTRACT AGREED BY BOTH OWNER AND SELLER there is no combined shipping. That is the case you bring to EBay. |

I still think the buyer should reflect the way he was treated in his feedback. Even if it is neutral feedback, he should still put it out as a warning to other buyers who may find themselves in the same position with this seller.

Without a doubt the seller is being a douche. He could make the whole situation easier if he was easier to deal with.

The reason I sent the guy a note was to let him know his bad business practices were leading to bad word of mouth and hope that he would be smart and give the OP a break to clean up his reputation. I didn't call him a douche or anything of the sort, I just let him know that his actions were being viewed and discussed by a large number of future potential customers and that he had a chance to avoid some negative feedback.
