When I was lifting consistently I made it up to 220. Now that I am downgraded I would say I could do about 150 coming off the bench.
I used to work out with this guy when he and I were better friends. I am proud of his amazing feat. Here is an article. I believe he may have been in some fitness magazine too. All natural diet and exercise and it's amazing how the human body can adapt and change....
I wanna say he is in his upper 200's on bench now and I think in his 600's on the leg press machine....

Wow, great thread! Ok..right now as we speak last week I put up 225 on the flat, 245 on the decline and much MUCH lighter on the incline.
Ok..now..and I'm totally not lying..my all time high was 315 on the flat bench, and I put up a 550lb squat 6x on in the power rack, no spot. I do wear inzer knee wraps for that. The 550 was before surgery.
Last Feb because of a mixture of weights, grappling and general overuse I tore my the labrum in my left shoulder...which is a weight lifters and grapplers worst nightmare...I was able to lift again just this July and August so its a slow start.
Now when I squat? 300 is a heavy day...but much like my Terminator friend..."I'll be back"
I'm also registered and taking the personal trainers test on Jan 29th (I kept putting it off..I get anxiety about tests) I have trained in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Tai, Jeet Kune Do, Boxing and a few others..but was most succesful at Escrima..which is Filipino stick fighting....the last I fought was here in NJ and won 2 Silver medals, I got whooped by both of my trainers in the final 2 rounds.
Anyway, this is a great thread. Just because you dig Joes, comic books, Star Wars or anything else of that nature doesnt mean you cant hit the gym, play sports or be active.
Last..(I promise)..growing up and even into my adult hood I battled with anxiety, depression and anger....the balance of exercise, music and my Joe/action figure and comic book addiction BY FAR has balanced me out and gave me more of an outlet then any medication out there.

The most I ever benched was 225 that was when I was trying to lift heavy after I got to that weight I sort of plateaued and then quit for awhile. Now at 34 I only lift light weight, high reps.
I'm 6' 190 lbs

Not into weights anymore other than for injury prevention, but I can swim 2.4 miles, bike 110 miles, and run 26.2 miles in 11 hours. I think I can bench 180 now, a shell of where I used to live.....:(

In 1985,I did only 185 beach press. But 900 lb x 20 leg press. 100 x30 barbell curl. My upper arms were week.

GREAT THREAD!!! Love to throw weight around myself. My best heavy lift was 350 X2, On chest day I can finish 315 for 6 reps.

I used to lifet 130, 4 sets ten reps and 150 2 sets with 5 reps, now I cant lift at all, I tore my right rotator kuff and bicept tendon was cut off and moved on my arm, damn arm still hurts, now I have a little gut, and I hate it.
