I guess my only question is, how the HECK do you all know so much about EVERYTHING?
Same guys posting in the DVD forum, the video game threads, in the Car thread, in the gun thread... and you guys don't just know a little about, but are actually into all of it!
Did I miss a day at school?

Shooting- My father is into shooting big time (long range/comp/handguns/etc)...I've been shooting since the age of 6. I'm just now getting into comp shooting.
Video Games- I've ben a gaming nut for years and until recently, collected them. I'm now selling almost half of my collection but I literally have had 30 different consoles and 1000's of games for them.
Cars- I started working on cars while I was a teen. My job in high school was vehicle maintenance and custom exhaust work (pipe bending/welding/etc). I've done "street rod" mechanics in the past but mostly stay away form the newer, more complicated cars. Anything complicated gets fished out.
A/V- I had a side job in high school helping a local DJ set up his equipment, he was a smart guy who taught me room acoustics, equip setup, etc. In 1998 I started doing home theater installs for a living, I toned it down a bit during my apprenticeship and eventually stopped in 2003. In 2000 I entered a 3yr apprenticeship for low voltage work. I now do data networking/fire alarm/security/pro audio for a living. I am also a ISF certified video calibration tech as well as still doing home theater/home automation/subwoofer design and building on the side.

smokehouse = my long lost twin? lol
well except for the home theater stuff. i've always wanted to get into that career. whenever i move to a new place its always acoustics/speaker placement that takes priority over comfort.
shooting: same thing. my dad has been shooting since he was a kid (no comp just plinking), taught me to shoot as soon as i could hold a gun. sometimes he regrets it when he gets out-shot by a snot-nosed kid. hahaha
oh im also into airsoft. my dad played paintball when it first started, so he is intrigued by the replica AEG's.
games: come on, i was raised in the 80's! NES changed my life. and techincally, before that i was playing atari and texas instrument consoles...
cars: again i blame my pop. been around cars my whole life. took 2 years of ROP auto shop in high school. worked for a year at a japanese engine specialist shop as office manager/assistant mechanic. asked my mom if i could go to wyotech or UTI but she said it was too expensive.
i love all types. muscle, japanese, euro... if it has four wheels and goes vroom, me likey! even RC cars keep my ADD in check!
and yes derek, you did miss the day in school where they took all the boy to the multi-purpose room and instructed all of us in the arts of "awesome".
but you manage to do pretty good anyway.
now back to 45's... what do you think of ithica? my father in law had one while he was active duty army. said it was the smoothest 45 he'd ever fired (it had a little work done). trying to find him another so he can join my pop and i on desert shooting trips.
