New WM policy?

So I stopped by my local WM tonight to browse through the new pallets like Ive been doing for the past two years, and the lady told me that from now on they are going to start unboxing and sorting the daily shipments of toys in the back and no longer do it in the aisles.

I hope its just a temporary thing. If not, what will I do in the AM hours if I cant go hunting?

Can anyone else confirm this new policy?

Can it be the fault of those damn Zhu Zhu Pets?

If it is true, it could be due to the collectors that go through pallets on the floor like it was placed there just for them...I have not heard anything of this policy, but it wouldn't surprise me...

I was at Wal-Mart tonight and the pallets were out as usual.

If I'd wanted some ROTF Human Alliance sets, I'd have been in luck.

No Battle Stations.

Anyway, maybe it's just a specific store thing 'cause maybe there's been some trouble there.

I've been asked a few times if I want something off a pallet to ask an employee.

I usually do this and I try to be super-sweet about it, and generally get good results. Sometimes, though, if there are no employees around, I will open a case myself and I often put the items out and dispose of the box.

I remember in the days of Episode I, people would demolish the toy department leaving action figures, tissue paper, and half-empty cases all over the place. It was embarrassing.

She's as full of crap as constipated horse. I work at Walmart and we have no such policy. She probably just didn't want to take the extra time to walk around you while she was stocking.

like i said, ive been going there every night for two years and theres never been trouble.

its not like we are stealing the merchandise, we are buying their product. I always thought that was the idea.

I too have seen people rip open cases on pallets and bend, throw, and mess up the aisles with the figures that they don't want to get to the ones they do...It is very embarrassing...

some stores just seem to have different policies with stuff. Some stores are okay with me openin boxes off the palets, some say its okay if i ask an employee first, and one called security to the toy aisle when they saw me looking at the different palets to see what was on them.

But being at the florida walmarts in my area recently at night, they still have the palets in the aisles as usual,

i would say it might be because of the holiday season, or maybe because you live in Miami and have busier stores? Either way Im just saying my Walmarts in Volusia County havent done that.. yet

Wouldnt surprise me considering the number of morons that tear through the pallets and mess everything up, take cases to other parts of the store only to rip through them and leave the mess, and pick fights with employees because they have to do their job.

People like that are what give the average collector a bad name and make things unnecessarily frustrating for the rest of us.
