There was a thread here not too long ago called Joes Anonymous. Posted there. Check it out.
Me, I'm streamlining because of economics. Just got a TFA voyager class Megatron at around 75% off. Happy I waited. |

I can definitely see the compulsion/addiction aspect to my collecting. I can't see the video (at work) right now but I'll have to check it out when I get home.
Quote:
I think the truest testament to my addiction is the Marvel Universe Line. The paint is horrible (generally), the articulation isn't as well executed as the Joe line, and the sculpts are hit or miss at best, yet I still shell out upwards of 10 bucks a figure even after telling myself 20 times I would stop.
Did the same a few years back with my LEGO and Hasbro SW stuff.

I am very selective in what i buy, i only collect gi joe and tf, i actually spend more time surfing the 'net for intel and toy forums.... to me being happy in what i collect is better than being miserable in giving in to society's status symbol trappings, i don't 'keep up with the jones' i dont need a $50,000 mercedes or a $120 bottles of liquor at the clubs to make me happy, seeing resolute se in my case puts a smile in my face..
