Yah, that is the beauty of Talladega... no matter what Nascar does, Talladega will always be Talladega. LOL. When they repaved Bristol it totally changed that racetrack IMO... when they repaved Talladega... that only made Talladega more angry. LOL.
I forget what race it was, but I remember late in one Talladega race all four Hendrick cars were 1,2,3,4... that was so cool. I wish I had a shot of that for my wallpaper. But I remember back in 2002 when the 24 car was poised to take the point lead all 4 Hendrick cars had engine failures one after the other... that was not so cool. LOL. And I think my fav cup race of all time was the 2007 Talladega COT race when the 24 passed the 48 on the last lap to win the race and takeover the point lead... that was my happiest day in Nascar. LOL. I'll probably only tune in for the last 50 laps or so, but I also think Jamie Mac will win and Denny will takeover as point leader.

Wish someone had of taken me up on this! Rooty in 4th, Truex in 6th and "Lovey" as Mikey himself got 15th. Pretty good showing for those guys. Rooty had one of the best cars there, too bad they werent able to race back to the finish.

Why didn't I see this thread ALOT sooner!
My sig pretty much sums up my NASCAR fandom! I'm a big JGR fan! Loved to see Denny win the Chase, one he wins. Second, 48 loses. If Harvick wins, I'd love to hear Lagano's comments about it. Wonder if he would congratulate Mrs. Harvick on the nice season?

You're lucky, IMO the 11 car is the team to beat in both Martinsville and Richmond... his home tracks.
I thought for sure the 18 would be top dog at JGR, but then all of a sudden the 11 stepped up his game. I'm a 24 guy, so I'm rooting for the 29 now. LOL.

I love 18, I think he is a real talent, but he needs to be harnessed in. And I don't know if JGR is the team to do it.
If 18 gets into a team/ownership that can handle all his rowdy, then the sky is the limit. I honestly can't even fathom how Joe Gibbs and him can even be in a room together much less operate as a tight knit function that an elite team/driver needs to be in NASCAR. Hope 18 has success in JGR but I just don't see it happening.

I don't like either Kyle (or Kurt) Busch though; I don't like the 11 much either, but Denny put in his time grinding in Busch and with the help of Dale Jr. got more exposure and then got his big break in cup with JGR and worked hard to be where he's at... so I respect him. Not sure how I feel about the 20 yet. LOL.

Wohoho! Did you see my man Jeff Gordon pick a fight with Jeff Burton? He looked like Kung Fu Panda! Ahahaha. I remember the last time he tried to paw Matt Kenseth to death after the 17 spun out the 24 at Bristol some years ago. LOL.
I can't believe the 31 did that though... under caution too. The 31 clearly drove the 24 right into the wall. *shakes head* The lamest part though is right after the "fight" they had to sit next to each other in the same ambulance on the way to the care center... AWKWARD! Ahahaha. LOL. Oh, btw... the 11 is the point leader now.

First, I dont think that Hendrick would be the easiest people to get along with. Gordon and Johnson seem like huge dinks to me. They seem like the spoiled brat type who want everything right NOW! Goddamn Gordon has wrecked TONS of people, but he still cries like a bitch when someone gets him....like Kurt Busch paying him back for Pocono.
Second, Gordon is the biggest sissy out there. Every time Ive seen him pick a fight with someone he looks like the kid who is getting bullied and finally fighting back but has no clue how to fight so he is pushing and shoving, flailing away like a bitch. Third, I dont mind Gordon as a racer. Ive got a lot of respect for what hes done over the years and Id put him at the #1 best DRIVER of all time, but he definitely comes off like he has an attitude of "Im Gordon and Im better than you." (PS: Cant stand the 11. Hamlin is another incessant cry-baby and I wish someone would punch him in his mouth.) |

I'm not a big 11 fan either, but I think for all the praise the 18 get's for his driving ability; while Kyle Busch was getting penalized a lap for flipping the bird... Denny Hamlin was on his way to being the points leader with two races to go... that pretty much sums up the differences between those two teams IMO.
