He fits well with Joe Gibbs because IMO Joe Gibbs allows his drivers to do pretty much what they want when they want (think young and angry Tony Stewart) and I am pretty sure all 3 Joe Gibbs drivers hate each other secretly. LOL. I do understand your sentiment though, because every time Jamie McMurray wins I am happy at the thought that Roush Racing must feel a small pang of regret at letting him go and I have NEVER been a big fan of Roush Racing. LOL. Quote:

Ill root for anyone over Johnson, Montoya, Earnhardt, Martin, Edwards, and Hamlin. I cant STAND those guys for various reasons and if I never saw any them win again I still wouldnt be satisfied. Id love to see Jimmy and Carl get wrecked beyond repair on the first lap of every race. That MIGHT be satisfying.
I root for 24, 88, 00, 1, 29, 9, 56, 47, 31, 33, and 14, to finish well every race... and in that order. LOL.

Woohoo!!! Boris Said finally won a race!!! I have always rooted for him. The Nationwide race at Montreal was awesome... the last lap was epic. I kind of feel bad for Max Papis too, but WTG Boris.

Ambrose doesnt, but his team (Brad Daugherty) shares garage space at MWR, and they are basically teammates (Rooty, Truex, Ambrose and Waltrip himself have all said that). As for all the other stuff, everyones point of view in NASCAR depends on who they like and dislike for various reasons. I hate Jimmy because his first few years he was a huge cry baby, and I couldnt stand him. It was always someone elses fault, never his. Has nothing to do with him winning the championships, although if the STUPID "Chase" wasnt in place, I think he only might have won 1 or 2 of those.
Was definitely nice to see Boris finally get a win. I was hoping for Gordon at the end, but when he ran out of fuel I was cheering on Boris. Looks like we like and dislike a lot of the same drivers. I like J. Gordon too, but I dont like 88. I think he was a "silver spoon" driver, and shows it just about every race. His dad was HATED when I was growing up around racing, then he dies and EVERYONE loved him. Now his kid comes in and is the new savior or something. I dont get it but oh well. Lots of better drivers out there. Anyway, hats off to Boris, he has put in his time and deserved it. |

I like Junior out of sheer loyalty because before my 3 favorite drivers were the 24, followed closely behind by the 8 and 15 DEI combo (also liked Steve Park when he drove the 1 car). I used to love when Little E and Waltrip used to take turns dominating the plate tracks and always used to help each other in the draft. Junior was unbeatable at Talladega and Waltrip was the master at Daytona... thems were the good ol' days.

OK, Ill admit I did like him back then too. Those days are so far removed that I totally forgot about them. Him and Mikey used to run nose to tail at every big track there was. He looked like he had promise back then.....Mikey too. MW is one of the best drafters out there though: Even today (and the past couple years) when they had junk cars he could move from 30th to 1st almost at will at Daytona and Talladega. You can never count him out on either of those tracks, and I think he could have a lot more wins at both if it wasnt for some BS accidents hes been caught up in. Oh well......such is racing.

Right now I have my TV on splitscreen with Nascar on ESPN on one side and Predator on Syfy Channel on the other... I'm in heaven. LOL.

Okay... I'm seriously tired of ESPN coverage...
BigVig - I hear ya'. People are funny that way. Big E was ruthless on the track. Much like Kyle Busch is now. Watching Earnhardt bang the doors off of DW and Rusty Wallace was always good fun. I'm glad to see Bois Said win one finally!!! And an oval, too!!! I'm a closet Said Head, what can I say.

It was a good night overall. Hamlin placed 43rd and Kyle Busch did not win. Couldn't have asked for a better night...
