How long has it been since the initial treatment? Fleas will continue to emerge for a period of about 1 to 2 weeks due to their life cycle. Follow the instructions they gave you. Hopefully they treated inside and outside. After a couple of weeks if you are still having problems request a retreat. Be sure to keep your pet treated. Fleas can stay "dormant" for a long time in the larval stage. Motion frequently brings them out of this stage so vacuum regularly the next few days.
Ya its only been two days since treatment. But Ive noticed WAY more fleas than before. I guess I just assumed that after the treatment Id notice the effects right away. He dident say how long itd take. I dident know about them emerging for up to two weeks after. Thats good to know. Do you think we should stay with Orkin and continue the service plan? We have three days to cancel for a refund. Im wondering if itll be worth the money. NSP |

I'm a landscaper and have customers always asking for products and I always recommend organic means to control fleas. It really works well and it's healthy for your pets. Some products are orange oil and diatomatious earth (spelling?). For proper application I recommend the website Natural Organic Home Garden Health Howard Garrett Dirt Doctor - Home Page. There you can find how to apply these products as well as find locations in your area that sell them. Good luck!!

Dont cancel. Make use of the warranty (90 days? or more if you bought a regular service plan). Not sure about the service you will recieve as it varies for every region. Not an uncommon experience. The fleas are in egg and larvae states that can last some time without any other factors. Motion, temperature changes, and other things bring them out. Cant kill them in certain stages of the live cycle. If you have carpet, vacuum where ever your pet sleeps, eats, lays, or poops. Hard floors (tile, wood) dont have as much a problem.

Ya I think its 3 days for a complete refund of the initial treatment($214). The 90 days or whatever it is is only a refund of the last treatment done...which would be like $74. NSP |

I heard that the Animal Control says as long as the owner has food and water avaliable....theres nothing they can do. Is this true? Is there a law that can help me with her dirty yard and flea infested dogs? Thatd be a BIG help! NSP

My Mom works for a Vet, so I'll try and call her tomorrow and get an answer for you.
