You know who you sound like? You sound EXACTLY like my parents sounded when I was a teenager listening to my music full blast. Don't feel bad though because I am right there with you on this one so, I guess what they say is true, if we live long enough then one day we will become our parents.

ill add another point to my list of anoying car owners.
someone explain the facisnation with owning a early 1980's or late 70's buick thats worth like $400 with a full tank of gas. then proceding to instal large rims worth easily 1000 for the set with slim tires on them (i think thoes are designed to race) and a 500 radio system with another 200 dvd player ect.? i have never figures this out. i went to the dmv and saw this guy with the formentioned car. he was outside with a taco bell soda cup full of water and a rag cleaning his rims wearing a pair of shorts, no shoes, and a ragady wifebeater (the tshirts with no sleaves for thoes of you not from the west coast). to top it off the paint was peeling. |

What's most amusing to me is that no one really cares about car alarms beyond their annoyance. Almost everyone I know ignores them. Have they ever really prevented a theft?

You would be surprised what some people do. I once had an old school honda that was worth #$(t like $500 at the dealer if you turned it in. Anyway when I was going to college, the area it was in was notorious for car theft. Several of my friends had their cars stolen in that area and it was so bad at one point that people were dying over their cars in this neighbourhood. Anyway long story short some #$(!)! decided he was going to steel my $hitbox honda but for some reason ended up not taking it. Maybe he was scared off or maybe he developed a brain half way through his half a$$ car jacking attempt because when I returned from class i could see that someone had tried prying my door handle off with a screw driver or something. So in defense of the guys with the $hitbox cars with car alarms worth more than the actual car, some people are retarded and would steal anything even something worth a few hundred bucks at the scrapyard.

Agreed. I can't stand when people feel like everyone else will like the "music" they listen to. It makes it worse when they do it with a POS sound system and don't know how to prevent their license plates from rattling. What jerks.

Can anyone help me find my car alarm remote? Some guy is outside his front lawn taking aim at my engine block with a high powered rifle.
