Hogan is a joke. Yes, he is wrestling. Arn Anderson said it best when he said " People may not know about wrestling, but when they hear the name Hulk Hogan, they say Oh yeah, that is what Hulk Hogan does". He brought WCW down cause of his Creative Control clause. Vince would of never let him do that. I have no idea what he is gonna bring to TNA, but Hogan will screw it up because I would rather have AJ Styles and Samoa Joe being my headliners than Hogan and Jarrett. Jarrett is gonna come back and steal the shine from those guys and the younger guys are gonna do what Benoit, Malenko, Saturn, and Guerreuo did. Jump ship to WWE and become bigger. Why does Hogan and all the old guys think that angle still works?

I don't believe this!
It's fucking 1997 all over again. Between all the WWE rejects on TNA and the bullshit ending on Raw between Vince and Bret-I have not been this excited to watch wrestling in YEARS and not just one but BOTH manage to screw it up royally! |

I am so pissed right now. Alot of peope may or may not agree but when that happened in 1997, it set into motion alot of events including the death of Owen. Had it never happened, he may very well still be alive.
That is such a sore spot in wrestling esp for a long time fan such as myself. I watched it confused and then angry over what happened. Finally there was an opportunity to put it behind, and Vince failed miserably. I'll give him credit for suspending my belief for a moment there cause I don't know if that was supposed to happen or not. I hope that it was unplanned because if Bret agreed to it, then I lost ALOT of respect for him. I never thought he would sell out but if this is the case, he is right up there with the worst of them. Owen and Stu would be very disappointed with him. Either way, Vince is a dick for doing it. I am tired of defending wrestling and what it represents. They have finally lost me as a real fan. |

McMahon vs. Hart at WM is what they wanted. It seems like that is where it's headed. No Punk vs. Hardy though. I watched both. Both had their flaws, but it was fun. Competition is a good thing.

I really liked the TNA show with a couple of exceptions. 1) Hogan really needs to quit hiring all of his loser tag-along buddies (Nasty Boys, Bubba the Love Sponge, ect.). Nobody wants to see them. 2) Hogan should have rolled with it when he saw how over Jeff Jarrett is. That spot left the fans confused. 3) That nWo style beat-down on Foley was pointless. Didn't we see enough of those in 1997? 4) What's with the "masked men" (like the one who showed up in the middle of the Angle/Styles match) who always appear around the same time Hogan does? They all look the same and it's always a 50 y.o. dude who wants to kick Hogan's ass for something no one remebers. 5) Why is Sting in the rafters with a bat again? I thought we were making history, not repeating it. 6) Everyone in the nWo looked 60 accept for Waltman. Scott Hall looks terrible. Nash looked and acted drunk (covering for the condition he expected Hall to be in, maybe?), and X-pac is... X-pac. 6) The AJ Styles and Kurt Angle match was not exactly Flair and Steamboat. I think Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels could have done better after Bret's stroke and Shawn's back surgery! Wrestling is becoming a lost art quickly. AJ Styles, despite the fact many feel he is the best thing since sliced bread, is not a main event caliber wrestler. He kinda reminds me of Grand Master Sexay. Kurt Angle can only do so much when AJ's high spots are so bad. BTW, Near falls do not equal drama. They are very predictable when overused.
This is not a pro-WWE post, BTW. Raw sucked bad tonight. The Triple H/HBK comedy hour is beyond old. Hornswoggle needs to be wished well on his future endeavors. Michael Cole is a B show announcer, and Jerry Lawler is a C show color analyst. Raw is not Raw without Jim Ross. I'll take Tenay and Taz (a class A broadcast team) over those knukleheads any day. TNA won tonight, IMO. Was it a victory worth having? Only time will tell. |

I think many fans feel that way. Bret should have walked away and never looked back, IMO. |
