I am really into War & Military books & have read House To House by David Bellavia & recently got No True Glory by Bing West, are there any other Iraq & Afghanistan based true life books I should also check out?

I would suggest BRAVO TWO ZERO by Andy McNab. It's about some British SAS hunting SCUDs in Iraq during the first Gulf War.

Brravo 20 was good and the movie adpation is pretty good as well.
There is a British book "Tornado Down" set in the first gulf war, telling about a British Tornado crew that got shot down and getting captured. really enjoyed it and actually met the pilot who wrote the book. |

Check the Ospreypublishing.com They make a great series of Military books. You can also buy them at most local book stores.

I read a really good book on a Navy SEAL's experience during training leading up to a hell of a mission in Afghanistan... Sole Survivor, I think it was called? Awesome.

Cheers Chopz & JCast, much appreciated.
I was never really into reading books but one day picked up House To House by David Bellavia, think I read the whole thing in like 2 weeks, couldn't put it down, have been addicted ever since. |
