Two weeks is too much time. More time to nitpick plays and performances. More time to worry that you're not going to play your best. More time to ponder the upcoming game. The coaches come up with a gameplan and have all this extra time to look at it and pick it apart.
It's not aways a good thing to have that extra time. The same thing as giving Manning time to study a defense can be said about Brees and Sean Payton, and the defense to study Manning and his plays. Remember, Manning is all about timing and they really dont' run to many different plays. They don't move WRs around like other teams do. Wayne always lines up the same way. Give a D two weeks to prepare for what is basically the same thing that's been done for 18 games all season... I think I'd give the extra time off advantage to the Saints D.

that Arizona team was far from bad. whether the Vikings should have won is irrelevant to the fact that the Saints match up just as well against the Colts as the Colts match up against them. this is arguably the most evenly matched Super Bowl of all time, that's why I say no logical analysis could conclude the Colts are better than the Saints because the only logical analysis of these teams would reveal they are pretty equal.
I don't put too much stock in the Saints struggled down the stretch. sure seems more like a repercussion of losing focus after losing the undefeated season because it hardly translates to a possibility that they may not have regained that focus for the Super Bowl. it's about as big a deal as the Colts resting players, that meaning it isn't at all. The Saints are going to score a lot of points, and so are the Colts. who scores more we will see. Quote:
Well we shall see. No point in arguing about stats or who is better because in the end, i'm pulling for the Saints also! I'm not a big fan of either team but in Texas, we get a Ton of Colts games so i've seen Manning rip apart that Greg Williams defense a ton of times while he was with the Redskins. Thats why the Colts are the favorite in this game. I'm not saying the Colts will win but they are the favorite, both of you can at least admit that. EDIT: Come on man, you don't think losing to Tampa Bay is bad? They should wear a paper bag for that one Even Darren sharper was shocked http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf...ss_to_tam.html Its not a big deal but yeah they did limp into the playoffs like the Cardinals last year. **FLORIDA ADVISORY** Tropical storm "Manning" moving through the Miami area February 7th. Please be advised that long bombs and other projectiles may be abundant. But strangely very little BREES. Please refrain from resisting its brilliance because you know you can't stop it... You only WISH to contain it!!!! GO COLTS!!!!!!!

that's ludicrous. Brees just hung 31 points on 12 first downs against a D much better than the Colts and the Colts have yet to face an offense in the playoffs even remotely comparable to the Saints.
heck, the Colts may have not faced a comparable offense all year. the best equivalent is the Patriots, and they seemed to move the ball and score quite efficiently against the Colts, and you can't expect the Saints to give up a big lead like the Pats if they jump out early like the Pats. there is not one logical analysis of these teams that reveals any disadvantage for the Saints.
