Blue.. all I can say is watch ESPN all week, they could care less about the Super Bowl, but they will have cameras stuck up Farve's Ass to find out if he is gonna retire, stay, take a big crap, or apply some heat and rub on his ankle.
That's why I hate Brett Favre... yeah he is someone to watch like Jordan, but come on. When all coverage on a sports channel revolves around one man... ridiculous. And I am tired of seeing his goofy wife on camera everytime he gets hit. They should give her a daytime drama as much camera time as she gets in the stands!

If Peyton Manning can start healthy and stay in the game that long.. he should be able to break records. BUT----- PEYTON HAS GOT TO BE SMARTER THAN FAVRE!! Don't ruin your body trying to prove a point. Brett Favre is gonna be jello when he is 50 and have a damn LARK because he was too stupid to walk away when he was younger!

I agree about Deanna Favre. Why does she get all this face time? Why not other players wives? We didn't see any shots of Drew Brees' wife. Doesn't she rate like Deanna.
And it just proves the point that we even know the name of Favres wife. I love Favre. It's his QB play that got me into football. Was never a big football guy until I saw a monday night game that Favre played years ago. Got hooked ever since. So always have a soft spot for Favre. But his actions the last 2 years really made that spot go from soft to hard. I'm fine with someone unretiring, but to expect the team to change everything it did because you retired, to just expect them to welcome you back with open arms and everything to be the same? It doesn't work that way. You left. You walked out the door. You said goodbye on your terms. The team HAD to move on. They had to see if Rodgers was what they hoped he would be or if they needed to spin the draft wheel again. They had waited for Favre to retire ever since they had drafted Rodgers. Favre walked away, the era was done by his choice. So as much as I love Favre and thank him for getting me into football, he was totally in the wrong. And what he did to the Vikes is just as bad. Waiting until august after camp and most of preseason to come out of retirement so he could skip all the work. Making the rug get pulled out from under the other QBs. Yeah, the Vikes never would have gotten here without Favre but teams have to look to the future as much as the present.

I'm not sure which it was that caused the Colts slow start that season: Manning dealing with the healing process or Manning not having Saturday. I'm sorry, Manning is a great QB, but I will never see him as the greatest no matter how many records he breaks until he plays with a different center and different coaches. I lost a lot of respect for Manning at the start of this season when he threw the hissy fit to get Moore and Mudd back on the team. Great way to cut your rookie coaches authority right off the bat. Unlike alot of the other great QBs in the league, Manning has always had the same coaches and Saturday is essential to all that Manning does at the line. If the start of the 2008 season was any indication, Manning is still good, but he's not as great if Saturday isn't there (or it could have just been injury recovery, we really won't know until Saturday is gone).

Well.. as long as he don't take the hits and stays healthy. Yeah.. I will watch Peyton until the end of time because there is not a whole lot of great pocket passers nowadays. I mean Peyton has his face already molded for the Hall of Fame and his name is ready to be carved in stone, and he is damn sure first ballot HOF. In fact, I think Kurt Warner should go to the HOF, he may not be first ballot, but he has more yards and td's than Troy Aikman and I think with a SB ring.. he should be in there. Drew Brees will be in there some day too if he keeps up the way he is going.

He did have that bursa sac injury the start of last season. Favre never missed a start either.

Without a doubt Manning is a first ballot HoF. I agree, I think Warner should be in. He's got alot better stats (and a ring) then alot of other QBs in the Hall. And Warner's story alone, even with some lesser stats, should be extra to get into the Hall.
Warner wasn't drafted (like Manning and Brees, or Leinart the guy that Warner plays in front of) to be a football hero. He had to work for it.
