I agree about Caldwell. Talk about lucky. Inheriting Dungy's team, which was playoff ready. The guy didn't have to do anything for the offense. He doesn't even call the plays. Manning and Moore do that.

I don't think we watched the same game. The Jets were losing, not bad but still losing, and the Colts had a good lead when the starters were pulled. They may have won, but chances are they would have lost.

It really doesn't make a difference how the Jets got into the playoffs, what matters is what happens this Sunday. The Colts were up 15-10 in the first meeting and who knows what would've happened the rest of the game had they not pulled Manning, Wayne and Clark in the 3rd quarter. As cliched as it sounds, any given Sunday, right? As Rex Ryan said, the Colts earned the right to do what they wanted to in that game. I will admit luck definitely plays a role here but the Jets have no control over their schedule and what teams are good enough to rest players during the end of the season. The Jets are obviously a good team or they would not have won two playoff road games in hostile environments to make the AFC Championship game. Whether they are a team of destiny or not, we shall see this Sunday but I think it is going to be a good game regardless. Best of luck to all four teams still standing but...J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets.

that being said, more important than the lead was the fact that Manning really was doing a pretty good job moving the team, and had the starters stayed in you can only assume they would have been good for at least another 10 points. and if that happens, the field position the Jets fight against probably doesn't enable them to rack up the points they did in the second half. of course, I'm a Jets fan, so I was relieved when the starters did take a seat, and I am as optimistic going into this game as I was that one that the Jets match up well with the Colts and can beat them. we've seen what Manning can do against the Jets when he can identify their coverage and execute, so it is up to the Jets to make the appropriate adjustments and stop him this time. If I didn't think the Jets were going to, I wouldn't watch the game, so inherently as a fan I believe the Jets will be the ones to play their best game and force the Colts into mistakes they usually don't make to win the game. |

The Colts D is small and quick. It's usually the big guys that get run down by a power running game.
I think the Colts will win, not by much, but they'll do enough. Can we really expect 3 huge games out of two rookies, Sanchez and Greene?
