I like the wild jerseys, and a huge percentage of fans at every game have one. I have them all and wear my green the most. While were on the subject, Captain are you looking for any tickets this year? Having a little bit of money troubles and have to get some of these moving. Unfortunately the obvious games are taken (wings, gaboriks return on my birthday, lemaires return etc) but heres a link if your interested.
Untitled Document Sec 109, row 17, seats 7 and 8, wild shoot on twice. $150/pair. Note: Jan 9th is spoken for by my bro, but the gf generated some crappy html via Word and I haven't gotten around to redoing it. Edit: Lol i guess I need to change the number on my avatar eh? |

Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass. Any word on the Wild's 3rd jersey? I thought they were coming out with one this year.
The best rumor I heard is that they were going to be like the retro one they did when MN hosted the All Star Game. That would be sweet. I have Roloson's jersey from that game. I would love for the Wild to drop the red and just go with the green and off-white (wheat). As for the current jersey, the Wild do make a killing selling those things, so somebody is buying them. Geez, I hadn't even seen this thread, let alone posted on it and I'm already getting "hated" on by the guy who can't seem get over the fact that I simply pointed out... in passing really... (what every civilized hockey fan already knows) that his team happens to have the most retinal punishing sweater in all of sports (since the '70's)... At least we usually don't have to suffer very far into the playoffs...

Please read my post again, I think we have a little misunderstanding here (Imagine that on the internet )
In addition I'll try to clarify it for you as well....First off, there is no "hate" being directed at you. These are matter of fact tone comments. Nothing to "get over" for me, as I'm actually crediting your comments for making me look at the home team's jersey more objectively. I never got defensive about your insulting comments in last year's thread, but took them in stride as brutal honesty on your part. Again, in the comment of mine you quoted, I agree that the logo is too busy, and that sometimes less is more, as in the case with Detroit's awesome classic jersey. As for the "hater" thing, in your last quote, as well as a couple of times on last year's thread you made no secret that you severely disliked the the Wild's sweater, always using colorful ways to say it. Examples: "They still have the ugliest jerseys ever though." "Unique is one way to put it. I think the designer for that one should be drawn and quartered. "Wild" has so many possibilities. Flamboyant doesn't come to mind..." Therefore "hater" refers to your comments, thus "hater comments," I guess making you a hater of the Wild jersey in turn. Just a statement of fact really. I guess in retrospect I should have left that word out of my original post. Although misunderstandings do happen on the internet, what really puzzles me is this. That instead of looking for clarification from another frequent poster on NHL threads and one of your friends on these forums, you choose to take a shot at me, my team's jersey (again), and their playoff struggles. Maybe you tried to lighten it with a smiley, but it comes across very barbed and sarcastic. Also note that I'm addressing you directly, not referring to you in the third person. You come across rude to someone who was not trying to do the same to you. I would have figured you would have judged me better by the overall quality of all my posts over the last year. I've certainly enjoyed reading your posts on all things hockey and Joe in the past, and hope to continue doing so in the future. |

Sounds like you've been looking at the fan 3rd jersey concept threads I don't have it by me but I'm pretty sure a season ticket newsletter said the third jersey will be announced mid September, so I guess shorty before pre-season.

I thought that's what we were doing....
I would have left alone myself Sharke. Although I tried to say everything politely, I should have used a PM. Sorry, about the drama guys. Last edited by Captain Carstein; 08-17-2009 at 04:24 PM.. |

Listen, I joke around like that with all my buds, and, apparently in error, I thought most of us who pop in an out of the NHL thread were somewhere in that mix, being thick enough to rib and be ribbed. Last time I checked, that was part of the fun. Bro, if my tagging you with that little barb offended you (which it would appear it did), I apologize for that. But please, just relax and have fun. Isn't that why we are here? If not, then I apparently got off on the wrong floor. Cheers. |

That's a pretty cool looking jersey minus the simple looking lettering, I happen to like the Wild jersey! My two favorite jersey's have always been the Red Wings and the Black hawks

Dude... dude, dude, dude. Speaking of tone, you completely missed mine from the first comment on the Wild sweaters to the one you just read. (Quite honestly, I had completely forgotten having even mentioned it until I read your post). Every single bit of it is meant in jest, as a poke and nothing more. You obviously misunderstood my intent.
