I might have to adopt the Blackhawks for awhile even though they have to shed some payroll in the summer. |

Yep, the Wild have no team character of their own. I believe Chuck Fletcher is a good GM dealing the best he can with the cards he has been dealt. The coach is still a WIP so the jury is still out on him. Unfortunately there's not much help in the free agent pool, but hopefully the Wild can do a trade for a much needed 2nd line center.
I might have to adopt the Blackhawks for awhile even though they have to shed some payroll in the summer. as for Sabres......yeah.........thought they'd do a little better then this...particularily against the Bruins... |

yeah, you gotta figure its a washing away of the old regime...though from the outside it looks like the Wild are limited by how much their owners are willing to spend which i think is little....but I could be wrong, don't follow the Wild to much...just know thats where Olan ended up
The Wild's handicap comes from poor drafting, very few solid prospect in the system, and certain mediocre players getting overpaid by the old regime. Fletcher made more moves and trades (most of them pretty good) this year than Dougie had done in years. So yeah, if you're spending within less than a million (at least at one point during the season) of the cap and still so far away its pretty frustrating. The Wild have sold out every home game its ever played (yes, even pre-season), but that streak might very well end next year if they struggle again. Anyway enough about the Wild. The Sabres showed some heart tonight. I'm hoping Dave Tippett and Yotes can pull it out against the Wings. Why the Stars left that guy go I'll never know. |

Yeah I know, Habs fans are very special. It's always very emotional at the Bell Centre.. The team itself is so bad so the fans have to disturb the other team to get a chance to win. ;-) It's not the best way IMO, it gives the visitor's team another reason to play smarter than ever..

I suppose LA is right up there in the class dept then. They were kind enough to boo the Canadian National anthem when the Canucks were in LA last. It'll be interesting to see how they respond to the ars' whoopin they got last night from the 'Nuks. I'm hoping Van can keep their momentum from that game and take LA out in 6. |
