Looked for a thread and couldn’t find one, so I thought I’d ask you guys what type of beer are in your rotation or do you have recommendations?
My 2 that I’ve been one lately is : purple monkey dishwasher( peanut butter stout) , and back woods bastard - which is a bourbon stout How about you all?

I dont drink, except during the Fall Season. Halloween, the orange, red, yellow leaves, the cool weather, donuts, apple cider, cornfield mazes. That's the time to drink.
Fall is magical. |

Guinness (I dig stouts), Blackened Voodoo (New Orleans stout), Michelob Amber Bock and The Champagne of Beers: Miller High Life. All preferably in glass bottles or draught. Aluminum cans make everything taste like Natty Lite.

Any sort of prop IPA does me proper, as long as it's not that "hazy" rubbish- it needs to twist my face inside out with hop flavor.
If you like the PB porter and want a unique experience, track down a peanut butter milk stout and cut it in half with a lambic of some sort- instant peanut butter and jelly beer (kind of a one an evening experience, because too much is cloying, but delicious all the same.) Of course, I'm not too proud to get down on some domestic tall cans either, even the cheap fuckers like Busch and Rolling Rock. Especially when the temps are in the 100s here. Helps if you just think of those as "really good water". I dislike you too, but I love beer almost as much as I do GIJoe ;)

Beer? No. Spirits? Oh, yes please! Jaeger is my go-to, but it's not strong enough to justify the cost, so it's kinda my dessert drink when I can splurge on it
Otherwise it's whiskey and vodka, and typically nothing short of 80-proof. I'f imma be drinking, imma gettin fucked up. I can't and have never been able to drink beer. I'm sure there are lots of people who drink it and genuinely enjoy it, but the beer drinkers I've known are the kinda guys who mock people for drinking a girly drink despite it having it 4x the alcohol, like beer is a sign of manly man-ness, and it's just so... dudebro? |

I just love the flavor of beer. Runs in the family, I suspect. If you don't, no shame in that- though I get the feeling you're not super concerned with "man points" or whatever anyway.

I drink beer daily, though typically only one or two. I don't enjoy drunkenness any longer, because I've had plenty of negative consequences from it, and always wake up feeling shitty.

It's all an acquired taste, but beer is definitely easier to enjoy than wine or various whiskeys. I used to be a bourbon guy, but I found myself liking it a bit too much, so now I reserve it for select occasions. Beer is safer, but just as tasty. Nowadays, there's not much better than an ice cold bottled Miller right after mowing the lawn or a Guinness after a shitty day. |

I'm a bubbly drunk; I get real sing-song and excitable and basically turn into Bill & Ted, so I guess I haven't had to deal with doing regrettable things while under the influence. I hadn't thought of that perspective before. And I've only ever had two hangovers in my life: once when someone kept pushing me to drink and I was too drunk to say no (definitely not too drunk to tell them to put their pants back on!) and another time because I'd been so busy that whole day I'd forgotten to eat and didn't realize it till way too late.
I suppose drinking to unwind just isn't in my DNA :/ |

I don't drink much. I can go months without drinking alcohol. Not having a life helps with that.
I do like Miller High Life sometimes. It's cheap and tastes decent. The cheapest beer in these parts is Hamms. Not sure I've ever tried it. Steal Reserve High Gravity if I want to get wasted cheap. 8.1 abv. It's not a great tasting beer. Their fruit punch whatever is really bad. I like Hard Cider, but there's not really a super cheap brand of hard cider. |
