As fun as that sounds, setting booby traps and any sort of bomb are highly illegal.

Get a jack in the box that tosses the dog crap at them and says "F U A**holes!" before pummeling them in the face with a gooey mess that rover left that morning.

Get the heaviest thing you can think of and put it in shipping box. Watch them struggle to move it. Get all your neighbors to do the same. They'll give up?

We had the apartment we were living in broken into about 12 years. They somehow got the locked window open with a screwdriver, cops said that is a pretty common trick. It just leaves you with a horrible, sick feeling of being invaded. They took the xbox and all the CD's, fortunately they didn't touch the toys or the box of kittens, which was located directly below the window. They did the leave the screwdriver behind so we did get something out of it...

A couple returning from vacation come home to discover all of their belongings have been stolen... except a camera and their toothbrushes. After reporting the incident with police and filing all the insurance paperwork, the couple tried their best to move on. They continued to use their toohbrushes every night. They finished the roll of film on camera and one day took the film in for development. Looking through the pictures, they were horrified to see the burglers used their camera to take pictures of them loading up a truck of their things, smiling and waving. Even more so when they saw the burglers shoving the homeowner's toothbrushes up their asses.

I've never had a break in, luckily. The only theft I've ever had to deal with was a scumbag stealing the spare tire off of my Jeep. Thankfully, I had swapped the spare for one that had a slow leak just a week earlier.
I do however install home security systems for a living. Having anything that you can monitor from your own phone is great for peace of mind. Ring's system is kind of chintzy, but the cameras are okay. Simplisafe is a little better quality. If you get anything from ADT, just make sure you get all that you can for free, and don't pay for anything extra. You can add extra sensors or cameras to the system yourself. Just buy them off Amazon for a quarter of the price. |

Had some guns stolen out of our vehicles, that was it. Lately tho, we have had some weird people going down the street multiple times and and cigarette buts in our yard. Needless to say, shotguns and rifles are ready go. I have two young siblings, not about to have them in danger by any methead. I dont care to much about shooting people, will if I have to, but I will give the vehicle some air conditioning for no charge.
On a side note, one of my neighbors found somebody in their garage adjoining their house looking at their boat. Said he thought it was for sale and walked off. A truck came and picked him up later.

The house down the way was broken into a couple months ago and the cops knocked on our door and asked my wife questions about it. I have a feeling that might have been a they knew what they have and wanted it type of deal.

I cant say I been robbed per say. But in the 90s me and 3 friends rented a house. One particularly whiney friend fancied himself a hipster. I think. He used to hang out at coffee shops, do the chess thing, regurgitated philosophy. Well he made friends with what we called alternateens. Imagine people at CHAZ. Well over a period of a month about five of them unofficially moved in. Basically squatters. They were..just horrible people. Tried waking my ass up in the middle of the night for a House Meeting. Ok, I woke up, angry as hell ( had to work in 4 hours). Told them I'd talk first. Fuck all of you, you have no jobs, you mooch, and you wake my ass up cause you have a corn cob up your ass. You have no say here, you dont contribute in cleaning, groceries or money. Get the fuck out. Meeting adjourned. Went back to bed.
Well like the like cockroaches they were they stuck around. That weekend, I went camping for the weekend. Came back, they through all my shit out, including my somewhat fledging Joe collection. I had a lot as a kid but we had a house fire. Not many survived. Threw away all my stuff, took over my room. It was a damn coup. At this point I was beyond mad, but at the same time getting away from those fucks was a higher priority. In the end it was just stuff. I needed peace of mind before I killed one of them. It was jacked up in so many ways. It was what it was. |
