Just found out over the phone that 3 maintenance guys at work started showing symptoms. They were sent home for 30 days with pay.

As someone who works in healthcare I can tell you that it is a very terrifying disease. Worse case scenarios develop pneumonia and organ failure. We are required to wear masks at work to treat our patients and frequent hand washing is a must. The masks are to protect the patients since the elderly and immunocompromised are most at risk. Anytime someone sneezes or coughs the anxiety level of every worker in the facility hits the roof. But the ones that have recently been sent out to the hospital have so far tested negative for the virus. And to top it all off my brother in law and his wife have both tested positive this week and he's in the hospital on a vent. Don't be fooled by any reports in the media, this will get much worse before it gets better.
Hope he pulls through. Thanks for the frontline report.

So I finally gave in to the hysteria & just looked for some damn N95 masks on ebay. It's literally stupid what people are bidding up to & paying for 10 packs. Almost as asinine as what single cans of Lysol are selling for. I found a box of masks for $170 buyitnow-the seller had two 10 packs and within three or four seconds of me buying the 1st box the other sold. Geez. Compared to what people are bidding these up to I guess I should feel like I got a bargain? But I feel weak instead for giving in... maybe these masks will save my life when I have to go to Target looking for the last pack of toilet paper and be around the mobs of people doing the same. Then perhaps I won't feel weak + ripped off.

Class move on your company's part. Meanwhile our banquet staff is going broke.

They have you working outside at the drive thru? They're doing drive thru only here at the Lake Jackson Chick fila. Looks like they have a good amount of the regular employees working.
