so the other day my telephone pole and house was struck by lightning, it literally fried all the electrical sockets on the front and side of my house and blew up my xbox 360, TV, and computer along with some other small end appliences but those were the major ones that im bummed about. i wasnt able to get on the tank for 2 days. luckily i have a extra computer which i hooked up and had to have a electrician come out to my house to fix all the mishaps. hopefully when i send my 360 into microsoft they will replace it for me but im not sure on the policies but i now have the red ring on it. as for my tv, i am not sure there is anything i can do since there is no warranty left on it but im going to try and take it in to get fixed. my computer is smoked though. just thought i would share...

Damn dude... hopefully you didn't say.. "May god strike me down" anytime recently.. LOL JK.. I Live in Florida and I know all about lightening strikes.. My Parents once had a whole bunch of stuff fried just like you... It really sucks, in most cases warranties won't cover lightening.
Every time I Hear the slightest bit of thunder I run around unplugging everything. Its a pain but its better than losing all my stuff. Good luck with replacing everything.

Did you have a surge protector for the TV and PC? If not I would get one. It will save you the pain of loosing your stuff (again). It has worked well for me but I do go around and unplug stuff if it gets real bad outside. I am sorry to hear of the loss though.
