One of my wife's girlfriends moved in with a guy that had a five and a half foot Burmese python for a pet. The girl said if she was going to live there the snake had to go, so we ended up with it. I went to feed him a rat one time and he started to get out of the aquarium going the opposite way of the rat. I had the rat in my right hand, so I used my left hand to move him toward the rat. I guess he smelled the rat and got confused and struck my left hand. It happened so fast I had no time to pull my hand away. Once he had hold of me he coiled around my arm and started moving his jaws back and forth like they do to swallow prey. He had me right behind the thumb and I could just feel everyone of those serrated teeth grinding on the bone. I couldn't just rip him off because that would have torn the skin off of my hand. All I could think to do was fill up the sink with water and hold his head under. I figured he would either let go or drown. He either needed air or realized he couldn't eat me and let go after about 10 minutes. That hurt like two bastards. Needless to say he became someone else snake not long after that.
aside from the broken hearts. because its different. my vote is. you win. i wouldnt know what to do. i would probably beating the snake against the wall untill it let me go. but then again. i hate snakes, lol

Broken hand, 3 pins.
The pin removal was what did it. If you look at the back of your right hand you'll see all the bones are vertical, I had 2 horizontal pins that went in on the same end as my pinky. My doctor removed the pins by yanking them out with those "clips" that look like scissors, no drugs. Imagine all the bones in your hand being pulled horizontally. The 1st one came out with 3 pulls put the second was probably 10 or so, I passed out & hit/cut my head on the way down. Went right back to work after There's more but I'll stick to 1...that's the worst I had ^. Quote:

Snakes smell with their tongue so if you dump whiskey on it they're done with you. They can hold their breath for more than 10 min(especially Burmese) so you were lucky

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure I'd rather itch than be in pain.
I used to have this condition in college that caused my skin to have a burning itching sensation whenever I'd get hot. I wouldn't sweat, my skin would just burn and itch. It was ghastly. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Once I got hot enough I would start to sweat and that would relieve the itch, but then my skin would feel like I had a sunburn and be tender to the touch. I went to many doctors and dermatologists to no avail. I think now it was a psychosomatic stress thing as it hasn't been a problem for years. There was a film some years ago where Robert Downey Jr. played this character with head-to-toe psoriasis or something. I could not watch it. Skin problems unnerve me. |
