Ghosts are not real so you have nothing to worry about.

Well I live in Dixie, and while it is humid as a steam shower, we love outdoor living. We have a small 3br, 1.5 bath townhome, and love sitting on the deck outside listening to music and having a drink and talk. I know it is balls hot in Texas, so you may not enjoy the outside space as much as we do.
But bathroom reno's can be awfully costly esp'ly if you want upgrades in tile, fixtures, vanities, double sinks, counters, tubs, etc. You could easily drop $10-20k on a master bath upgrade -- and that is when doing most of the labor yourself.
I ain't afraid of no ghost. If you like the parlor and space, and the outdoor space is acceptable, this does not sound like a bad route.
Other things to factor that might make the decision easier --
• commute time to work
• age/condition of neighborhood
• restaurants, entertainment of surrounding area

Unless he checked out and stayed there without anyone finding him for like a week (which would likely create an odor that could never be removed without a remodel too). People die in houses all the time, everywhere. Dont let that stop you from buying one. Buying a house ready to move in with no work to be done is always better if dollars are not the concern. Moving sucks enough without having to become a construction foreman afterward.

I've lived in a haunted house and a haunted apt. and even though the spirits meant me no harm they were difficult. The worst was the apartment because it was a little boy who's family died in a car accident in '86 and he couldn't find them, so I needed to get this witch I used to see on Canal street in NYC to help guide him "home", to them. He'd keep me up at all hours of the night whispering, crying, laughing, etc. Go with the remodel.

dude ghostbusters man.
bustin makes me feel good.
hahah. ive experienced some undeniably insane stuff concerning the paranormal.
i consider myself to be a magician.
we are in an ocean of things around us all the time in other dimensions.
we just cant see it cause its not on our wavelength. we are like blind little cave fish.
you can interact with them if you change your station to pick them up. like the mind has
alpha gamma beta and theta waves... the supernatural isnt really all that intangible.
science just hasnt chosen to reveal the mind melting truth to all of us primitives yet.
humans are a superstitious and cowardly lot.

We are limited by our "humaness" and our senses. Just like we need to use radar or sonar to detect things but don't have that ability naturally. Going off on tangent here but if something "spooks" you go w/ your gut instinct and stay away.
