Gotta love policy updates to Paypal

We’re changing how we treat refunds. If you refund (partially or fully) a transaction to a buyer or a donation to a donor, there are no fees to make the refund, but the fees you originally paid as the seller will not be returned to you.

Wow. I didn't hear about this one. When did this start?

That sucks... sometimes the shipping is less than what eBay calcualated, so I refund shipping often.

I haven't refunded excess shipping ever since the final value fees started including shipping costs.
Paypal Notice of Policy Updates email I got this morning. Quote:
These changes will go into effect on May 7, 2019. If you agree to these changes, you don't have to do anything. If you don't agree with these changes, you may close your account. If you close your account before May 7, 2019, the changes will not apply to you.

Well, the days of me willingly canceling a paid order for a buyer are over I guess. What a dick move from PayPal. Honestly, how much could this possibly have been costing them to refund sellers in full? They're asking for competition with a move like this. Maybe this is to help promote eBay's payment processing? Either way, screw them in the ear.

Yeah, too many fees and now the increase in shipping charges from the Post Office.

Nope, not only. I introduced myself to them at JoeCon 2016 and the guy said, "I don't give a shit who you are." Another guy claimed to not know what Hisstank even was... okay...
Not sure who it was but it was clear I was not welcomed. Funny thing was I was taking pictures and asking questions for news coverage for Hisstank. That's why you guys didn't get much coverage, lol. Of course everyone will come to their defense, but to me, it was completely uncalled for. Sounds like there is a story here. |

The last two times I have sold on ebay there has been an issue with the price at the PO. I carefully weigh, using a kitchen scale, and measure my boxes for shipment. I put the information into ebay and the PO is always higher. I don't know if this is a PO thing or an ebay issue.

Yeah, you get a discount with some types shipping. That's why you have to be careful, like when my printer was down one time. I'd set ebay for parcel select you cannot get at the PO. Parcel Select is cheaper that retail ground. I lost a few bucks mailing at the PO.
