Most of the payments are to cover our accountants in case he/she gets sued. Right now it's set at unlimited liability due to how crazy it is right now.

As for SSUTA, please don't take this the wrong way, but if SSUTA itself had any actual teeth, e-commece taxes would have been collected already.

If anything, it's called the "Amazon tax evasion policy" in our industry. Amazon used SSUTA frequently in conjunction with job and warehouse bribes to shield itself from paying higher taxes.
